Dark Souls early concept art. What's this from?
The correct penalty is having to fight the boss again from the beginning. Requiring the player to run through the same area over and over is a frustrating waste of time. It literally brings nothing positive to the experience.
Dark Souls early concept art.
It's from the art book they released this year. Found all of it here.Interesting. Don't think I've seen this before. I it supposed to be the Painted World? Looks like they're re-using some ideas that were shelved for Dark Souls.

Lot of people would dismiss it because it's not From unless the game turns out to be great. If I am correct SCEJ helped with development of Demon Souls. If SCEJ was to develope Demon Souls 2 would you guys be interested or dismiss it because it's not From?
Personally I think this is big mistake from Sony. I think they should invest in Demon Souls 2 for PS4, that could move some consoles. It's niche title, but you know that there are hardcore gamers that would but a console just for that game.
All the people wanting to make this game easier make me hope that we'll be able to invade non-humans in DSII.
You mean like one can invade Lautrec in DkS?

This is the opening movie of the game?if not dark souls' announcement trailer was realtime http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc8fsve6u8M
Judging by the rugged, snowy landscape, it probably just takes place in another "country"..."city state"... however the fuck the territories in the Dark Souls universe describe themselves.
That was pretty close to in game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEYwCIc0UjQTeaser was for 'Project Dark' month before that trailer.
You can see some snowy mountains from the Nothern Undead Asylum. Or it's the Painted World of Ariamis.

Except that one scene that is,can you tell me how the rest isn't?Lol no, also the scene at the bonfire is complete CG.
the game wasn't THAT hard was it?

Well he is not going to up and change it into Monster Hunter.
Monster SoulsDemon Hunter

Anybody known more about that "director" Tomohiro Shibuya? All I can find under his name is that he's some chief graphics designer at DAG Inc. and as such has been minorly involved in the Monster Hunter series. No prior involvement with Dark Souls, doesn't look particularly connected to From at all...
hope the frame rate is better
gfx is fine but frame rate can improve
Don't care if this is old:

Preorders open on Amazon for PS3 and 360 versions. Good boxart for the PS3 IMO.

lolthat's old school enough. geoff redeemed
If anything positive can come out of Namco being more involved in this it's probably a more polished game tech-wise.
But right now frame-rate should be the least of our concerns about the game.
I'm more concerned about the framerate than meaningless speculation about dumbing down. At least one of them genuinely effects the game while other is pointless drivel.
It definitely seemed like FROM was well aware of the framerate problems in areas like Blighttown, so I'm figuring that optimization will be a new focus for the sequel.
Should try this someday, but I never hear about anything other than "everything will kill you over and over again and you'll like it".
I had a machine that smacked me in the nuts every time I pulled a lever and that got boring after a while, so why should I try this?
Incredible on all frontsSeriously, how is the story, atmosphere, characters, are there any villages, exploration...?
Jesus Christ, there a lot of misconceptions about this game and the challenge it offers, apparently.Should try this someday, but I never hear about anything other than "everything will kill you over and over again and you'll like it".
