Okay, so I'm closeted. One of my friends yesterday started half-jokingly questioning my sexuality in front of my other friends. It was in a joking way, but it really annoyed me. I don't enjoy lying about my sexuality, but I don't like feeling pressured into outing myself. It was a really uncomfortable moment for everyone in involved, and now they're asking about who my celebrity crushes are, etc. It all sounds like a huge test.

I honestly don't care if they know, but for some reason it's just so hard to say. :( I wish everyone could just know, and it wasn't a big deal.

I was with some friends and one of them suddenly asked me if I was gay or not. She said she had seen me checking out girls and guys before so she didn't understand me or my sexuality. It was really awkward and I couldn't help but laugh at her. The whole situation was just ridiculous.

My roommate who doesn't know I'm gay asked me if he should ask this guy (who is clearly a closeted homosexual) if he was gay during dinner. Me and my other roommate were just stunned. :P So we said we didn't think that would be a good idea.

We were watching a movie, and she was like "Do you think she's hot? Unless of course you're not into women." It doesn't sound bad or anything, but the room went dead silent and I had no idea what to say. The way she said it sounded like she was genuinely asking too. It was just so uncomfortable.

Call friends and tell them to come over
Show the text on wall
While they are still in shock (maybe) proceed to punch one of them
Then take out drinks for everyone to enjoy

That's how I feel as well. I don't really talk about personal matters with other people, and so the idea of telling people something like that has always seemed weirdly private and even slightly self-absorbed considering there are personal issues that are significantly less private and important that I've never discussed.

On the topic of attractive old actors, Gene Kelly made me realize I was gay.

While watching Singing in the Rain one night alone, I came to identify my attraction to Gene Kelly as gay feelings and desires, which I then realized were the same feelings I had for my best friend in Highschool. It sounds silly I know, but it was a pretty emotional and pivotal evening. To finally come to terms with my homosexuality and the feelings I felt.

You should throw it back at her now. "How you liking that pie? Unless, of course you're lesbian." Don't do this if you're not very close though. I guess it wouldn't be nice if you came off as too passive aggressive.

Don't feel like you need to tell them anything if you don't want to, but also try to relax a bit. If they skirt around the subject just joke around a bit and move on.

I honestly have no advice. I've been caught in the same situation as you, but I still don't know what to tell you. About a month ago, I was working with two co-workers and they were talking about girls. Then the questions started:
"So do you like Asians girls?"
"Nah."
"Blonde girls?"
"Nah."
"Brunette girls?"
"Nah."
Eventually, I just told them. It got a little quiet. I think they felt a little bad that they might have pushed me to come out to them. I know one of them was completely clueless, but the other one had already suspected. Anyway, I told them and it was no big deal and that was that. Of course, that doesn't mean that should be the same for you.

Yeah I'm not that worried about it, but it just annoyed me. They sent me a text today asking about my celebrity crushes, preferences and stuff and I just know they're all together talking about it. Meanwhile I'm about 95% sure the best friend of the girl who asked me that is a lesbian.

If they bring it up again, I may just tell them, but I'll be sure to let them them know I didn't appreciate that.
 
My first crush was when I was six. While my older male relatives were blabbing about Daisy Duke, I was infatuated with Bo Duke, even to the point where I'd have very vivid dreams about just hugging on him.

After that, my next big crush was on my sixth grade teacher, Mr Kuhn, a single twenty something in the coast guard. Nice muscles, handsome face.. not nearly hairy enough to be a bear, but definitely not in the twinkly category either. A manly man. I think that this was where my attraction to military men began, honestly.

Mr Kuhn scolded me for listening to my Walkman in homeroom one morning, accusing me of not paying more attention to music than to school announcements. I corrected him, telling him that I was listening to legal affairs correspondent Nina Totenberg on NPR. He was astounded, and decided to start a new school club with me - The Media Club. The group's main activity would be to spend early morning playtime and recess watching CNN. It was me and about ten other students (and two of the guys seemed pretty obvious in their strong liking of Mr Kuhn, hehe..). I ended-up spending soooo much of my time with him until eighth grade, and really missed him when the time came to move on to high school. :/

(And space bridge: Gene Kelly seems to have about the same body type, now that I've looked around a bit more. My partner had quite a thing for him & Paul Newman growing-up..)

Yea id just give up and tell them...

honestly it sounds like they are fishing for you to come out and say, sure its annoying but i dont think you will have a problem (theyre WOMEN for gods sake). And that one might be a lesbian, even better!

Its really a slow process, everytime you come out to a new person, it gets easier. Im now AMAZING at saying it, no awkward pauses, and absolutely NO hesitation in ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

The other day in the middle of class of 20 people, my teacher was joking and said i would enjoy a movie with jennifer anniston in it, so i told her i was gay right then and there! Felt great lol. No one cared, and we continued as usual.


AND I AGREE, Louis is the hottest. ;) And that Harry aint so bad either.
 
Eh, if I'm going to get hot and bothered by a boy band , I'm going with these guys (and I've got a huge talent crush on all four of them).* At least I feel like they're pandering to me, but, hey, we all have different tastes for a reason (and puppies and rainbows and all that jazz).

*Warning: They are the fiercest dancers, but the music is no good.

I understand that haha. There are lots of boybands out now tho and some more coming. Feels like the 90s again..cept 1D doesn't have a big rival. They try to paint The Wanted as that but..nah.

Sure, they're young and cute,but they don't seem to be much aside of that,talent-wise.

Now, if it were a band made of muscle-bears, that would have take a whole different meaning :P

really nice, i can relate

it took some heavy exposure to certain film/music for me to finally realize that i had hidden sexual inclinations (a lot of gay pop and films like orlando mostly). my feelings were so buried that i wasn't even aware that they existed, only in retrospect did i recognise how lost and confused i felt during my entire adolescence. sounds silly but popular arts have the ability to open you up when nothing else can.

i remember my behaviour as a child being much more honest and instinctive, simple things like being fond of beauty and the beast and spice girls etc. then as soon as i hit 10/11 social conditioning and peer pressure stunted my personal growth like nothing else. i went to an all boys school where masculinity was everything, yeah that was hard

in most social environments adolescence is a fucking horrible time for personal development. but you get through it
