Welp, my original 60GB PS3 got the YLOD today. What's the best offer on a PS3? Not sure whether to try and get it repaired somewhere (or replaced by Sony) or send it off to be repaired. I've had this place recommended to me, but it's £78 for the repairs which seems like a lot. Then again I don't know how much Sony charges to replace old consoles.

I don't really play any PS2 games on it anymore, plus it's noisy as hell, but it seems stupid to buy a new one when I could get the old one fixed. But then again the new one might be quieter and more reliable. What's the best option here?

Edit: Sony will replace it with a 160gb Slim for £110. Should probably just do that, right?

Got my Zavvi £5 voucher through, although now I seem to be unwilling to spend it on anything. Does anyone else get this weird thing where they have to spend vouchers on something that's already a great price to get some kind of mega saving?
 
Anyone could get me a copy of Skyward Sword on Amazon.co.uk? 6 pound shipping is just ridicolous. I just dont understand it, why countries with their own (ROFL Austria) division have to bear insane shipping costs. :/

Crap, I'm miles away from any Morrisons and can't drive to the closest ones anyway. If someone can pick up Mario Tennis and post it to me, Ill PayPal them a fiver + whatever postage costs ;)

I don't actually expect anyone to do this. I'll try and get to a store asap.

How long do these prices usually last with Morrisons?
 
I'm always enticed by the deals at Morrisons, but when I get to the store I value my dignity more than kneeling in the middle of the store rooting through shelves of DS shovelware.

Any idea how long these deals run for? Also is there any way to check stock without physically being in the store?
 
guys the morrisons deal is pure hit and miss. went to 5 stores yesterday.. managed to get crap ds stuff.. saw a pokemon black and white but some numpty picked it up :(

itspot luck.. chances of getting anything are slim.. although they do restock. ALOT of staff been taking the games..

simple answer is.

If your near a store.. pop in if not
NOT worth the hassle

Slightly offtopic but The Pacific Blu-ray finally dropped down to £14.95 and another 10% off of that would sweeten the deal. Band of Brothers Blu-ray (Tin) also down to £14.95 if anyone was still after the original, better series.
 
Was in Morrisons on Sunday and all those games listed were there but they were £10 (3DS games like Mario Tennis was £15). They all scanned through at those higher prices too, so it definitely seems store specific rather than system wide.

Mind you £10 is still not bad for those games, Professor Layton is still 20 quid at Amazon and Pokemon is still 25 quid.

Definitely, I picked up Pokemon and Mario Tennis which were decent prices, they just don't look much of a bargain when others are getting what I paid £25 for, for £1.96p!
 
Swung by Morrisons just in case they had anything and picked up Dead or Alive Dimensions for 3DS for 98p. Sweet!

It was clearly marked at 98p too, as were True Swing Golf on DS and Truth or Lies on 360 and PS3. I think I pretty much got the last bargain in my store then. Didn't bother scanning higher priced stuff like a jakie in the off chance that they were reduced though - I went to high school with half the staff there.
 
wish my morrisons covered ps3 more than it did wii and ds, i want to get some cheap games especially dishonored for 98p wouldn't say no to that
