Shitty music. Should've gone with an adaption of the original theme instead.
I don't have much faith in Snyder to deliver a good film, but we'll see. I don't like the tone, but I think there's still potential. It all depends on the script and how strong it is emotionally if they want to do this sort of Superman story.
After the last Donner films and Superman Returns, I'm done with what Hollywood considers "light-hearted" Superman.
I have to admit I'm finding it pretty hilarious how many posters are praising the trailer for hinting at a film that explores a more emotional look at Superman instead of a film with just action scenes.
2006 called.

Real estate speculation was Lex Luthor's plan in that film. That is all.I have to admit I'm finding it pretty hilarious how many posters are praising the trailer for hinting at a film that explores a more emotional look at Superman instead of a film with just action scenes.

"...let them die!?"

Nowt to do with Gladiator, it's Lisa Gerrard's solo work.smh
This music is from Gladiator. Zimmer only started composing for this film a couple of weeks ago.

I think even with Sucker Punch, Snyder made movies that adapted the characters in a stylish and violent way that is at least somewhat promising for Man of Steel. I think it will be interesting to see what he does as he does in the future. You did not like 300 or Watchmen?
Zzzzzzzzzz. When's he going to punch something? It's been one movie and two trailers since he's thrown a punch.
Watching it with journey to the line in the background, wow.
Guess who sent Superman flying into the bank vault...
At least the Lois cast is way better than it was in Returns
My body is ready.

Tom Cruise as Jack ZodTom Cruise.
Doesn't seem like something Jonathan Kent would say. Didn't Clark credit his parents on his sense of right and wrong? Will be interesting to see if they shift from that, and its Clark's inherent sense of morals that conflict with his parents desire that he be hidden from the world at all costs
Agreed. Amy Adams is a great choice in this. I don't know what they were thinking with Kate Bosworth.
lolTom Cruise as Jack Zod
Sadly not any more interested after that. Just not doing it for me in any regard.

I'm really hoping it's a case of an out of context edited line just for the trailer. They do that a lot these days, where what's said in the trailers are not the actual lines in the movie. Because yeah, if Clark's father can say "maybe." to that and just turn away, it would be a disgusting butchering of the character.
I wouldn't judge a film on the trailers. Had I done so, I wouldn't have bothered to waste my time watching Skyfall

I dont get why people are hating on the "maybe" line. Pa Kent is obviously very torn between having Clark save lives or get revealed and possibly taken away to be experimented on/killed.

If you compare it to CC trailer, it just shows how big impact has the music. CC trailer felt dark and epic, and more like Batman Begins (especially with first few shots).
Chorus, narration, and underwater Clark makes this one feels a bit too much like Superman Returns.
I still think movie will be good, and at least better than Superman Returns.
