Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

Good question, unfortunately I have no exact answer to that. I'd love to know though, if anyone has a more profound knowledge on that issue.
Honestly i think with the improvements the OLED brings like less power consumption, better contrast etc. and it being used in various smartphones which helps in mass production sony would be wise to not drop it in fall 2013 that would be like 2 years since the VITA launched and the costs would be down quite a bit from whatever they are now too.

If I live in the US how can I play this. I have a blank 4GB card. Can I download from the UK store and then play or am I out of luck?

As far as I'm aware they patched up being able to swap accounts on the same memory card. You can have multiple memory cards and swap accounts if you want, but that apparantly messes up your bubble order and it takes around 10 minutes or so to do each time you want to swap accounts. You cannot play an EU version of a game on a US account.

swapping memory cards messes up the bubble order regardless. i have two cards (same account) and switching them completely messes up the bubbles and wallpapers.

[del]Hey, Portable Ops does work on US VITA.

You have to purchase it on the PS3 then transfer it onto the Vita for it to work though.

Let me know if you need proof.[/del]

....
Whoops, though you were talking bout Peace Walker

Thinner, smaller, ergonomically better formed to be "gripped", lighter materials, change nubs to slide pads.

I think thats all not too likely, a similar design with improved battery and an LED screen somewhat makes sense though.
If this ever happens I'll be happy to be OG Vita master race.

We already know for EU.

Big Sky and Knytt.
And Mortal Kombat.

Had my vita for about 2 weeks now. I feel like I can't fully enjoy it until I get a bigger memory card, as I have the downloaded PS All stars, and I want to download uncharted really bad, but can't fit them both.
I dislike the dashboard, the icons seem to have jaggies and at first it was confusing just to change wallpapers/lock screens but now I kind of like the way you multitask.

But PS all stars looks and plays great. Mutant blobs game is awesome too. I need another game like that. I also wouldnt mind a GTA on it...that needs to happen.

Liking Uncharted: FFF so far. I think I get the reference to what means what for cards better than something like Magic, so that helps. It has forced me to re-download Golden Abyss though for my card upgrades.

That said, would love Magic on the Vita, could see it working really well. What other card games would people suggest? Any on the PSP, that are compatible with the Vita.

I think the only CCG games that were released on PSP that got onto PSN was like Eye of Judgment. Konami never uploaded their PSP Yu-Gi-Oh! games. : /

Marvel trading car game is absent too.

I'd love to check out the Eye of Judgement PSP card game though, but not for 30$..
Really enjoyed the PS3 one, I got a used bundle with camera, game and 100 cards for 40€ or something. Unfortunately way too tedious to set up and only really is fun with another player.

Shame there are no more games like it then. Magic is ok, but ideally you want something like that you can take about with you. It's not the sort of game I want to sit at home and play in larger sessions.

Could even work as a Cross-Play title.

Ah well, hope I have enough friends playing FFF in my list.

gamestop will take AC:L without a case, and it currently is worth $20 at gamestop as long as you are a rewards member (even the free version just need to be a member, the pro still gets 10% more on top of that so $22 total)

Shit - just traded this game in with two other games, so it counted as a "3 games for bonus $10 deal" and therefore they only gave me $11 for it rather than $20 - had another game that I wanted to get rid of when I got home so I could have brought that and still gotten both deals...

(tl;dr - I missed out on a free 20 GameStop dollars)

There are differences between pso2 pc and vita

Man i really hate siliconera! You can't even copy-paste its text!

Sure you can

- The Vita version will have fewer enemies on the screen at once.
- Fewer Emergency Trials compared to the PC version.
- Map sizes will be smaller on Vita to accommodate the portable format.
- For this same reason, it will also take less time to encounter enemies.
- These changes will also be in effect for PC players joining the Vita block.

I know people probably ask this a lot, but what is it that I have to do in order to cleanly switch memory cards (32 just arrived)? I'm speaking more in terms of moving my account, as I know I can back my content up to the PS3 and back up saves to the cloud.

Hmm, let's see if we can account for all the TCG/CCG games on PSP:

Eye of Judgment Legends (JP/EU/NA)
Flowars (KR) [UMD Only]
Marvel Trading Card Game (EU/NA) [UMD Only]
Warhammer: Battle for Atluma (NA) [UMD Only]
Weiss Schwarz Portable: Boost Schwarz (JP) [UMD Only]
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tagforce (JP/EU/NA) [UMD Only]
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tagforce 2 (JP/EU/NA) [UMD Only]
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tagforce 3 (JP/EU) [UMD Only]
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Tagforce 4 (JP/EU/NA) [UMD Only]
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Tagforce 5 (JP/EU/NA) [UMD Only]
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Tagforce 6 (JP) [UMD Only]

I guess you could count Uno, lol. For some reasons PSP had an adaptation of the Battle Spirits card game but they were Monster Hunter clones rather than card game ...

Just back your games up, whack the new memory card in, and restore your games. Sorted.

Nothing really. You just put the new card in.

You can format your old card before you take it out.

Big Sky Infinity and Surge for me today. i think that's the ony games coming to Vita this week anyway lol.

US ZHP sale should be today.

But yeah, thats it for this week.

Yeah, already well documented in the PSO2 threads. No one who actually plays the game is surprised; the changes are rather minor considering they managed to keep multiparty areas in the game!

I actually think the Vita-geared system changes make for more efficient boss rushing, but if too many PC players abuse the Vita blocks to do that they'll probably take cross-play out...

Oh no, not what I wanted to hear :-(

I'd settle for shitty Phantasy Star Portable-level graphics if it meant total parity with the PC versions. I was hoping it'd be completely seamless, but this level of fragmentation from the outset will probably carry over into things like updates and DLC.

See my post on the subject:
