Zimmer really does have a thankless job on this. He better bring his fucking A game at the very least.
I imagine it won't be as iconic as the Williams theme but it will fit the movie perfectly. Although who knows, he might just do it. The sound he created for Batman is THE sound for Batman now, no matter what some burtonites might say.
I liked that taking flight leaving the fortress scene cause it gave me that feel of "this guy is huge, powerful, and could wreck the shit out of me with a finger". The ice cracks purely out of the push he does to elevate.
Superman movies always failed to deliver on that aspect, and its the main reason why I dont really like any of them even though I love Superman
There's an epic spoiler in the middle of the trailer.
MASSIVE explosion in the middle of Metropolis, presumably.
This shit is going to have action for sure.

I'm saying he's questioning Clark's place in even defying the natural order. That's heady stuff, but not at all immoral.
I'm starting to think the three time I've posted this, GAFG has glitched as it's seemingly been ignored.
It went like this:Liquidsnake said:I don't remember one song from Burtons Batman's.

Batman's 'theme' in dark knight trilogy wasn't even a theme. It was just some 2 note repetitive high octane drum thing.

Doesn't come close. I like Zimmer and the Nolan trilogy scores but his Batman scores are definitely more about action than Batman and is missing an overall theme for the tone of the character imo.

I spent the whole trailer thinking "where's AMY?!", and then she appears just for a couple of seconds at the end...
I don't know what to think, the first part looks so bleak and realistic, and then there's a guy flying with a cape. I don't know if the tone really fits Superman. Still looks good.
Then you never watched it because that theme is not easily forgotten (regardless of how anyone feels about the movie).
That entire scene in the trailer looks amazing. So many fantastic shots and scenes in that trailer...

Yeah, Zimmer's work on BB and TDK was fantastic (as was JNH's).
Pity Zimmer phoned it in on TDKR. It felt like he was trying to assault me through sound.

Hans Zimmer said:I kept thinking and talking to Chris about what I thought the Batman character was. If there was an arc to be had, it was that he sees his parents getting killed – that’s the defining moment of his life – and he feels guilty for it. The theme is interrupted at essentially two notes: it’s never completed, because he never gets past this point. I spent three weeks removing notes from the main Batman theme until I got it down to just two notes. I am very proud of it. It’s always the beginning of a theme. It promises that he can become a hero or a complete man, but none of that ever happens, because he can’t get past that moment. If you listen really carefully in the first film, there’s this little choir boy at one point, and what the choir boy does, through electronic trickery and too much time spent in the studio, his note actually freezes and goes on for about four minutes. I know that’s really dodgy symbolism, but we literally froze him in time.
New avatar is godlike.

I hope it goes up on xbox live soon, I want to watch it on a big screen.

I really have warmed up to the trailer. I still think it should have ended more strongly and that Martha Kent's line reading sounded pretty awful. But otherwise I find myself watching it over and over now.
Legs aren't together. You relax/float on your back in water and see what happens to your limbs.
Download it and use PS3 Media Server to stream it? (yes it works on Xbox)
