Sorry bros but it's a foregone conclusion that Man of Steel will be the best looking superhero movie ever made.

This looks good.
Something between Malick and a classy liquor commercial.

Best looking superhero movie ever made is Skyfall, you dolts.
The piece that plays when Bond is flying through the night sky holding M's hand is quite inspired stuff.
I still find Superman lame
He'd still die to save you.
I still find Superman lame
Returns is a good litmus test for whether you have ADHD or not.
Returns may not have been action packed (I still don't understand the demand to see Superman smash through things), but he still had that a presence to him in the film. The scene where he changes in the elevator, for example, or when he appears at the roof of the Daily Planet blowing out the cigarette. Singer evoked the mythic power and romanticism of Superman just by how he panned the camera around him. I dont think we've seen any other comic book adaptation achieve that yet
thank you
This version of Lois had more personality and charm than all of them put together
(forgot to mention I'd hit dat)
Of course, cause Superman lifting things and posing captures his mythic aura or whatever much better. I don't mean to be snippy but Superman Returns brings out the worst in me. That film had no heart.![]()
I'm willing to take a film that sticks with the standard of aliens, explosions, yelling, and powerful punches as long it can actually tell the Superman story. I am content with Superman TAS in movie form which Man of Steel kind of feels like. I did like how Singer captured Superman's flight and gave him a sense of momentum, so I'll give you that.
did anyone else think of this during the part where he cracks the ground as he's taking off/

would be interesting if they were going down a similar path, perhaps even showing superman before he starts to take care and treat the world like 'cardboard'.
High quality captures ALL OVER YOUR FACE
Fucks given about 56k = zero.
Man Of Steel Trailer #2 mixed with Journey to the Line:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNb5T_2dQyI&feature=youtu.be
I did my best to mix in Journey to the Line. I had to cut the first half because it just didn't work together at all with how the scenes were cut, and also because of the lack of dialogue.![]()
Hopefully someone can cut the music from this trailer and add Journey To The Line.
Edit: already happened? that was quick
Edit 2: but hopefully someone can do it better because that sucks
I'm sure there will be a lot of scenes like this:

But I hope we get a lot of scenes like this:

With the different and minor lack of footage differentiating the comic con trailer and the latest one, it's pretty difficult to put it together. BUT if you use the actual comic con trailer as a base (audio and even for visual cues to an extent), instead of the journey to the line track, then it does kind of work out to an extent.
For instance, the first 35 seconds in the one below I made are entirely there because of the lack of footage. But most of the rest of it gets on cue after some fiddeling around with the timing:

Is it odd that I always thought Superman was lame when I was younger, and only in the last decade or so have I started to warm up to the character? Anyone else feel this way?
I thought he was kind of lame as a teen, but in recent years I started reading more comics and now I love him.Is it odd that I always thought Superman was lame when I was younger, and only in the last decade or so have I started to warm up to the character? Anyone else feel this way?

This is what happened to me too. By my 20s I fell in love with the character, but hated him when I was in junior high.

Based on Singer's summary, his Returns sequel would've been a complete change in tone. We'll never know if it worked though.
Yep. Total change in tone. As he described it "Wrath of Kahn" stuff. EspeciallyBrainiac entering Jason's body, ageing him into his late 20's giving him Superpowers and having SUperman beat the living shit out of his own son.
Fucked up but hey... None of us have much love for that kid.

So will they be skipping the whole Clark Kent being a reporter thing? I'd actually be okay with that. The way the character is being portrayed, it doesn't look likely or realistic.

I've seen it coming for awhile just because of the people involved. This movie will be a big hit. There's a lot of excitement.
Returns is a good litmus test for whether you have ADHD or not.
lol didn't know about the whole aging stuff. I like Brainiac but that would've been stupid.
I don't remember Singer saying anything about Brainiac taking over the kid's body and aging him. I do know that he said he would kill the kid in the sequel though and have Supes go all Wrath of Khan. I don't know where that other weird shit came from.

Why didnt he get the sequel? Scheduling?
