Is TNT happening or was it canceled due to GoTY?
And the default on-site streaming option to listen to it (and all other podcasts) is a representation of a tape. Topical.
When I logged into beta site, I got an "activate account" email. Anyone else get it?
Dave mentioned ignoring that in a tweet.
Got my first ending in VLR last night. One down, 23 to go!
I don't like how huge everything is. Fonts are stretched out and ugly.
The top is what I see right now on a 14" laptop. The bottom is what I want to see

That's a really nice redesign. I like it.
Their new site is still lacking in essentials, like every redesign before this one has: Videos aren't sorted and tagged to reasonable categories, the overview shows neither date nor length of the videos, there's no option to only show GB original content.
In addition, going through paginated sites is still very annoying (due to the AJAX driven nature as well as the inability to quickly jump in content either through entering a date range or page number). This is especially bothersome on their podcast as well as video pages.
Their video-search engine still offers an absolutely horrible user experiences, often barely useful and hinders the discovery of content.
Absolutly agree. Considering for how long we've been asking for some of those features, not seeing them in a full redesign is incredibly dissapointing.
The video sorting is terrible. The fact that you can't search for quickook types (example all the racing quicklooks or all the fighting games, etc) is stupid. And also, the search on the video page will still search all the videos, not just the category you are in right now.
So, for example, if you are looking at the quicklook category and search a game title it will still show you all the trailers/reviews/tnt etc... totally useless.
Yeah, this is the result of always starting from scratch instead of iterating.
I don't believe they started from scratch because they necessarily wanted to. They had to do a complete rewrite because they wanted to build the site with the tools their new engineers were familiar with. Hopefully moving forward, they will be iterating on this new design.
If you're using Google DNS, they apparently route some of GB's video traffic through China which makes it slow to load, according to Jeff. I don't know if there's a fix beyond not using their DNS.I don't know if this is a regular issue or not, but does anyone else have problems with videos constantly needing to buffer on the site? I have to watch all the GB videos on Youtube.

I mean, it was mentioned on the Wii U stream as being a problem, so I just assumed it didn't vanish between then and now. I haven't had any issues with it myself. There's now way this is still an issue, unless they are using the worst possible CDN.
Apparently, they are looking at another place to deliver content with the new site. Plenty of people are having problems with GB video being slow.

Yeah, I agree. I wasn't following any of their changes, but I just checked out seaserpent and came away with the same opinion. The site looks nice, but I would really like there to be more information above the fold. One giant article doesn't do it for me and I'll probably stick with their RSS feeds. Do they still plan on organizational changes? I too was surprised the videos looked to be in the same "sorting" groups.
Pretty much the only thing that I would want from a redesign. Videos are pretty much the only content I use GB for, and the sorting and filtering is terrible.Their new site is still lacking in essentials, like every redesign before this one has: Videos aren't sorted and tagged to reasonable categories, the overview shows neither date nor length of the videos, there's no option to only show GB original content.

The game drags like hell for the last 5-6 hours.
I thought the game was only 6 hours long.
Not being able to actually choose sides between Faye and Bo/Charlie/Rachel is dumb as hell too.
Binary Domain is disappointing as hell. Every single time that game was about to become awesome, they throw in a horrible boss fight, break you off from the good characters, drop in a turret sequence or take the story is a dumb direction. The game drags like hell for the last 5-6 hours.
The squad AI is absolutely awful. I honestly can't think of a single situation where they helped besides when you get downed without a medkit. Half the time they would refuse my orders, and the other half of the time they would just sit there not shooting at all. Eventually I just started telling them to charge every single fight so they would at least soak up some damage while I killed everything. It didn't really matter though because the combat became a joke once the assault rifle is upgraded near max. Every single enemy gets instantly decapitated if you get headshots. At the start of every fight I would just run straight at the enemy, then get headshots on every single one as they were distracted by the other robots. That's all on the hardest difficulty as well.

The average on howlongtobeat is 9. That's about how long it took me too.

Most fights in BD I was pushing forward so fast my allies couldn't keep up, and I was playing on hard. I think the people who say the fights are tedious are too used to brainless COD encounters where you just spray out bullets and push ahead. If you actually aim in BD, you work through most enemies in no time. I never felt it dragged, but I did dislike when it suddenly stops letting you choose your teammates. I hated the Chinese chick and I was stuck with her for too long.
The image viewer thing they implemented is pretty great. Already seeing the potential.
HOLY SHIT! The bomb loading icon turns to a Johnny V face if you wait long enough!
