Can the gun chat about what type of things you can shoot with .223 and hunting coyotes and analyzing the scopes and grips and whatever other bullshit gun garbage be shelved for a bit please.

CBS newsguy was just about to say something about how the gunman was killing children but stopped. Seems like he was advised to not go into any detail (possibly because it's unconfirmed)

I saw the first report earlier but they were acting like there may not have even been any injuries. Then breaking news of dead and injured popped up on my phone ant it stopped me in my tracks and sent a chill down my spine. I literally misted up as I was eating in the food court at our local mall. Pure evil, that's all I can think of. I can't imagine what those people are going through now.

How in the world did he even make it inside the school in the first place with that kind of weapon and wearing that sort of thing? I live in SC and even the schools here now have armed security officers and the doors are always on lockdown and you must be buzzed in to even enter the building.

Someone let him in. Not on purpose, but they apparently knew the guy (he's a parent apparently of a kid in the school), and someone buzzed him in.

That person who let him in, I wonder how horrible he/she feels.

Just saw one with a little kid who couldn't have been older than six explain in a shaky voice that one of the first grade teachers had been killed.

WTF reporters, leave the fucking kids alone.

How fucking horrible

I don't even know what to say about this.... It seems like every parent's worst nightmare is front and center today. Little kids getting shot as school is just, wtf.

This angers me on many levels

This woman has possibly just found out her child has been murdered and some cretins first thought is to snap a picture of her and splash it on the Internet

Have some fucking decorum

How is taking action to prevent future massacres a slap in the face? The slap in the face is seeing this happen over and over again while doing nothing but mourning for a few days. The country and world need to be unified in attempting to stop future travesties like this. The parents don't need you to mourn their child, they need things like this to stop happening, and that requires us to discuss policy and take action.

what action do you propose is taken? unless you can remove all guns from the world, a gun ban is not going to do anything

What a thing to wake up to. I could hear the television in the background while I was half asleep; I couldn't tell if it was real or not. Kids... absolutely brutal...

One of the kids I saw interviewed didnt seem bothered at all. Clearly didn't witness the gunmen himself or see schoolmates getting shot.

Is there more interviews with actual first-hand victims?

They're kids, either A) They aren't mentally developed enough to understand the gravity of the situation, or B) They saw it and were traumatized.

Leave the kids out of this. They've had enough.

If he was 24, it's not out of question that he was a disgruntled parent. If that's the case, it won't be long until we get lots of information on him.

I hate this argument. You never hear about a guy driving his Porsche and running over 15 or more innocent people. A car is not a weapon of mass destruction like these piece of shit assault weapons.
That looks like an explanation, not an argument. Lets not go apeshit on the messenger.

I fear that this story is about to get much worse. Please, do what you can to shield your children from this story. If there ever was a night to turn off TV, iPads, radios, this is one of them.

Damn this is sickening. Children, really? I do not not understand what in the hell this guy was trying to accomplish. God, there are some sickos out there. So much pointless needless death. I hope the survivors are okay. Well as okay as they can be after something as horrifyingly tragic as this.

God damn it I am so fucking tired of the way our news stations work. Flashing pictures of heartbroken crying parents and interviewing the kids who literally just witnessed a massacre. And all for dramatic effect. So fucking slimy.
