Cool. I meant the actual sound of the horns chosen, not the off-beat melody. But cool nonetheless.
Braniac would be an interesting choice, you can go in a lot of directions with him. Though we all know the sequel will basically be Justice League, meaning most likely Darkseid. Darkseid can be a great movie villain. Have you seen the Superman TAS episode Apokolips Now? That would make for a great film.
I think Justice League will essentially be all about Batman and Superman. They will have Wonder Woman because she is also iconic and Orion can be the fourth member because they are opposing Darkseid.
thanks for this. i love the track that plays the night before they depart for vietnam. the score is fantastic. very good scene as well. i actually quite liked a lot about We Were Soldiers. It was better than Black Hawk Down. it had actual characters and a story to tell.

I also saw Sucker Punch in theaters. God. That was one of the worst fucking movies I have ever seen. That being said, I do believe that Zack Snyder is a good director; he's just a terrible writer. Thankfully, he did not write Man of Steel.
On topic, I have never been a fan of Superman. I always thought he was a lame super hero; there wasn't anything he couldn't do ! How can you empathize with such a character ? He's not even human. Which is why I was enthralled with this here trailer. It really looks as if Warner is pulling a Batman Begins; Superman looks far more humanized than anything I've seen before. Not only that, but he'll actually have some adversaries this time around. Something posing a challenge to him. Something other than Kryptonite. He will finally be fighting bad dudes in Dragon Ball Z-style battles, instead of preventing planes from falling and boats from sinking.
I am looking forward to this movie. If it's anything like the Star Trek reboot, it might convert me.

I know how you feel. I still have nightmares about how bad the movie was. terrible doesn't begin to cover the monstrosity that was playing in the cinema.
not even suggestive dancing from that girl from the new carrie was enough to even remotely redeem this movie. my god, all copies should be destroyed lest anyone suffer through this wretched creation.

Pretty typical nonComicGAF, unfortunately. And not just about Supes, but any character. I know I wouldn't come to the table with a preconception (especially such a strong opinion) of any art form, but that's me.
You can add the DCAU. Bruce Timm and Co have also helped in humanizing Superman like in the comics.
The biggest plus for that show was putting the fear in Superman's eyes that he could be killed. And also putting a limit on his power.

thanks. next year is shaping up to be a very good year for cinema. hopefully there won't be any 3 - 4 month delays in some movies coming to the UK like with cloud atlas and lincoln.

that's one of many interpretations of Superman. and frankly, the grunting was getting way too much. it's one thing to depower him like John Byrne did, it's another to nerf him.
lol What about Batman throwing Superman over his shoulder with one hand in World's Finest?
Or worse, Superman getting beaten up in like every episode of JL season 1. Dude was constantly on his ass.
