In Germany we can't use PayPal in the PSN store and currently I would pay exactly 30 for VC2 and Agarest 2, so without the DLC I had 10 left for e.g. Castlevania or God Eater Burst.
Also I bet the US store will have the VC2 bundle on sale the minute after I buy VC2 on the EU store.

Got a preowned vita for my bf, arrived today. It's not turning on. Plugged it in but no lights are on and it won't turn on...

When the battery is dead, the system doesn't respond at all. It can be a little scary the first time it happens. Put some juice in it and see what happens before getting worried.

give it up to 30 mins (shouldnt take this long but still) and hopefully it will just come on. When mine died on me I plugged it in and took 5-10 mins I think to come back on. I think its because it goes into some deep sleep mode or something because even though it died when it came back it was in the exact state it was when it died (game state still preserved and stuff like that)
My copy should arrive this week. Looking forward to it.
That IGN review is just so typical of them. There points against it dont even make sense either.

Those sacrifices dont even help as it still has a worse frame rate" - this is one of the most nonsensical things I have seen them say (and they have said a lot). How does it not help the game? do they fail to understand that if they left the graphics the same then the game would be probably unplayable????
Clearly they picked a balance of graphics and frame rate where the game runs and looks decent enough and could leave the rest of the game intact...... for that they docked them 1.6 points lol. I really hate that website.
I mean they gave it the same score as mod nation racers.... that game had a horrific frame rate and no online and is clearly a much worse game.

just from the videos on youtube you can tell it runs and looks fine.
I dont know why you would value IGN as a reviewer of Vita games. They have proved them selves time and time again to trash the system for the most dumb things and yet didnt totally trash games like modnation racers that had some serious issues.
in there assassins creed review I remember them saying mini games like ball rolling ruin the experience. This is a huge over exaggeration because that happens once. The only other puzzle was a sliding one. Then they complained about the letter opening saying it took you out of the gaming experience, which is total hyperbole.
Its not like that game didn't deserve the score they gave it its just they things they complained about were dumb. It was other issues they don't bother touching on that are the issue.
Then there was street fighter x tekken where they not only got someone else to review the game than the person who did the ps3 version but they got someone who hates the game to review it. This resulted in the vita version getting a terrible score and the PS3 version getting a great score when the games are nigh on identical.
Oh and my fav one was Greg complaining that gravity rushes combat was to hard to he would hide, recharge and then go use his super weapon again..... that games combat may be limited and over use of gravity kick, but hard it most certainly aint.
I basically just read there site to laugh at them these days.

I'm sorry, but I have MK7 and that's simply just not true at all (about the ugliness).
Some of the tracks do look more bland than its console counterparts because there are less shadders. But it's still a very colourful and beautiful game. Some of the tracks have so much animated stuff going on and the the music is superb!
Unfortunately there are some places where the framerate does take a hit.

If you really wanted to get it, and you like kart racers.
Just buy it. I'm playing it every day for a week now and its really great. The frame rate is not even comparable to modnation racers (which i have, too).
There is a vast difference between dips sometimes into lower fps (sonic) and dips sometimes into single number fps (modnation racers).
It runs even better then NFS MW...
Like I said, if you like kart racing games. Get it and laugh about those idiotic IGN comments about a visual downgrade.

How bad is the hit tho. Is it like need for speed where it dips into the low 20's now and then or is it like mod nation where its a slide show and you appear off cliff. The first I can deal with, the second is game breaking for me.

I have a general question about PS1 games on Vita. Apologies if it has been asked and answered many times.
I have an Aus PS3 and Aus PSV with an Aus PSN account.
Some PS1 games can be bought on Vita's store. Some can only be bought via the PS3 store.
Can these ones bought on and only available on PS3 store be transferred successfully to Vita even if they aren't listed as Vita compatible?

It may sound stupid, but are you sure the cable going from the vita to the psu is fully pushed in? I know mine looked like it was fully inserted but had to be pushed in even further before it connected.

I presume you'd tried to reset the device to factory? If it is pre-owned I guess it could be faulty, not what you want to hear with Xmas so close.
If it's charging, the PS logo button on the bottom left corner will be red. When its charged the light will be off.
Silly question, but when you turn it on you are holding the power button down for ~5 seconds, aren't you?
