I really do hope he filibusters for Mass Effect, with no one else agreeing with him but refusing to back down because it represents the series as a whole. Call it the "LOTR: Return of the King" Oscar effect.

I can't think of another game that he openly gushed over, or at least vividly talked about as much.

Openly antagonistic bombcast is the best bombcast.

He didn't react to the ending with complete and utter disappointment, eschewing most of the problems to either the weird "people just wanted a happy ending" argument, or that the Leviathan DLC filled in many blanks that people originally cited.

Most of the negativity in that discussion was residual venom from everyone else.
 
I remember one of the things they mentioned after the buyout was that Alex would be going to the CBSi New York office to do stuff.

I am not against the idea of some Alex premium content. IMO they should all be doing some kind of regular thing since Jeff and Patrick seem to be the only ones who give a fuck.

No, seriously, did you not listen to last week's podcast?

He didn't argue any of that save the leviathan one. Also he did spit some venom at the absurdness of using dlc to make the ending make sense.

Alex has written a ton of this year's reviews. It would be stupid not to include him considering the others probably haven't played the games he did.
 
Alex being on the GOTY section of the podcasts is a complete bummer. I do hope he's there for whatever category they have for indie games, because he's probably the only one who can get a win for Hotline Miami.

As a rule of thumb, I don't spent too much time talking about disliking people. It makes me a more pleasant and likeable person.

I'm not exactly thrilled he's joining in on the GOTY discussions, but that's because I find him to not be overly compatible with the others when on podcasts (sometimes he's fine, sometimes he's a bit "eh"). But come on.
