That just looks stupid. If you're going to get tattoos at least get something that's not tacky like matching shamrocks on your hips.
They're not shamrocks, they're clovers. Shamrocks have three leaves. God Bees, get it right! :P

As the resident Irish gay I can tell you that he's clearly not that 'Irish' if he got that wrong.

Dany, as for nerdy tattoos, there was a guy who used to be in my research group who got a tattoo of a double helix on his upper arm. James Watson visited our university a few years ago and he got a picture with him showing off his tattoo. Now *that's* nerdy. There are actually quite a few pictures of his tattoo floating around on nerdy tattoo sites.

I didn't know Apple made an LP player?

Looks better without the tattoo.

I usually hate tattoos, but last month I saw someone who looked like a male version of Lisbeth Salander. Anorexic, pale, weird hair, piercings, tattoos... he was incredibly hot.

I finally watched Judas Kiss after Netflix constantly shoving it in my face. I enjoyed it a lot. A little disappointed the lead actor isn't gay in real life (I hate this trend of the 'daring straight guy' playing a gay guy instead of actually hiring struggling gay actors), but I can't say I'm at all sad to find out the other hot guy is a pornstar. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Maybe I'm just an emotionless husk of a person
(likely)
but I don't think I could come up with something meaningful enough to ever want to commit to a tattoo.

I never get this. No one is that special that they have no important influences, or things that matter. We're not here long enough to worry about our precious skin staying "pristine"

Express yourself.

I guess I just feel there are plenty of ways to express myself before tattooing is an attractive option, in my mind. It's not a high-horse thing (I'm the last person to think I'm 'that special').

Everybody will have important influences, but that doesn't mean that everybody has influences that are of such importance that they need them permanently etched into their skin. I can't keep the same image as my desktop wallpaper for more than a week; I can't imagine having an image on my body permanently. Which isn't to say that I dislike tattoos, I just dislike the idea of tattoos on me, and at least at this moment, I can't think of anything I'd like to be put on my body.

Tattooing has been with us for a long time. It speaks to us as both a cosmetic and primal thing. You aren't missing anything if you don't have a tat, but for those who have, they've made a commitment to an idea, thought, experience, memory, or person which will be hard for you to understand. They choose to express themselves, in a external visual way, for the others to see and that semi permanent commitment.

I love tats, and those who have them, whether at an attraction or observer level. I don't fault those who don't have them either.

I don't think anyone here is hating. Seeing someone with a tattoo and wearing it well is quite the sight. But do I see myself with such a lifelong commitment, well it all depends.

At one point I wanted to get a small agathos daimon or amphipetere tattooed on my inner thigh where essentially no one would see it. The idea was that snakes in Jungian symbolism are seen to represent the unconscious, which makes sense as reptilian imagery is practically universally used to represent a powerful and potentially dangerous 'other', which is essentially how the unconscious may appear to us. In my mind this association with the unconscious kind of represented using intuition or one's 'inner compass' to find direction in life, and making inroads into this 'other'. That and I used to be really obsessed with snakes as a kid, and they're still basically my favorite animal.

Perfectly fair assessment. I've been seriously contemplating getting one myself, as a reminder of where I've been in life, the lowest from where ive come from, the struggle to claw myself to where I'm at now. I have the image already set. Only thing that's kept me has been the price of a really good tat and the artist. It will be one of my goals for the new year though.

That's no mustache. That's a dirty upper lip.

Mustaches have been with us for a long time. It speaks to us as both a cosmetic and primal thing. You aren't missing anything if you don't have a stache, but for those who have, they've made a commitment to an idea, thought, experience, memory, or person which will be hard for you to understand. They choose to express themselves, in a external visual way, for the others to see and that semi permanent commitment.

I love staches, and those who have them, whether at an attraction or observer level. I don't fault those who don't have them either.

We agree on something.

Yeah so, in conclusion Jake Bass is cute as fuck. Glad we all agreed on that.

I just googled him, and some of his pics definitely play up the jailbait motif. Sheepishly looking into the camera, ball cap cocked up, ass in the air.

Seems like a nice guy. :p

I do like his "Mmmm foreskin" pic.

Staches can be amazing. I have a rocking stache. That is not a stache. He would need a year of testosterone therapy to grow a stache.
