Just picked up Hotshots Golf : World Invitational on ps plus, 8$ you can't go wrong ..... Had 12$ left so picked up Alundra, don't think I ever finished it years ago .... and Threads of Fate, never realised this was the follow up to Brave Fencer Musashi, which I loved.

Just watch hotshots be free on PS Plus next week :(

Despite being a "spiritual successor", Musashi is much better than Threads of Fate. Don't linger on that thought too much or else you might dislike it like I did.

I'm still debating HSG digital for $9. I dunno... I found it unbelievably frustrating when I was trying to play it because putting is ri-do-do-diculously difficult for me.

Whew, I just did the Rift Plane Health Race from the Spy dlc for Gravity Rush, considered to be the hardest in the game. 3'22 time (gold is 3'30). I feel good!

I found that the difficulty ramped up at a pretty reasonable pace. The game gives you an implicit understanding of how wind conditions and different kinds of surfaces affect gameplay before throwing really tough stuff at you.

But it's definitely not for everyone. I can't get past one room in MGS3 for instance without dying and almost throwing my Vita in frustration, but most people don't consider it particularly difficult.

I'd say it was the hardest challenge, bar none. It's fucking ri-donkulous. o_O

It was the last trophy I needed and I didn't think I'd ever get it... (I bare did at one point finally).

Does HSG explain putting somewhere? Because I missed it -- and the grid that comes up gave me no sense of how the ball would break as I hit it. It never did what I expected it to... I'd make it to the green 1-2 shots under par with the default equipment and then BAM! 7 missed putts later, I have a double bogey. :(

Persona 4 is mine!

No way am I going to start it tonight. Will probably wade through that intro tomorrow while visiting with family.

It's all about elevation and wind speed, which are indicated by the direction and speed of the grid line animation.

Still haven't bothered with special clubs, balls, and shots, though. That stuff is beyond me.

I feel like the airship race was the hardest for me personally. That was the one I really felt that I might not finish and didn't see any progress in my times for a long while, until you helped me. (Thanks!)

With this one, it was a matter of me realising that I need to use R1 flying instead of speedfalling or kicking in order to skim checkpoints and keep going, and release gravity on each platform and run through checkpoints on foot in the area with tons of star-nevi that shoot at you (otherwise I'd get knocked around too much). The most terrifying part was the curving wooden platform through the tunnel at the end with the fish-nevi charging you. It's so easy to get knocked off and disoriented. I just had to keep flying forward without aiming to get around them and slid the last two checkpoints around the colossus nevi. It's really just the nevi that keep you from the gold time.

Hmmm, Is Brave Fencer Musashi working on the Vita ?? It's not on the Vita PSN store ?? I would rather get that if you don't think Threads of Fate is very good.

Also on PS3 I'm on CFW 4.30, so not sure if I can buy from the PSN store and then transfer !?!

The things that clicked for me on that run that I finally made it (I kept getting 3'30" ish but not under was (1) speed falling through the lava tunnels (after the giant legged tall giraffe like nevi) and using slide with drifting on the curving wooden boardwalk at the very end.

Apparently another JRPG is coming out in Japan in March. Fucking March, man. I hope April to December are as dry as a (insert your own analogy here). Money I can come up with. Time not so much.

Ya I speedfell through that tunnel too, but I had been doing that all along even when I was getting awful times haha. I have never figured out how to drift properly yet. I still have the military dlc to go so I hope it's not needed for the challenges...

If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

Do you have cable internet or DSL ?

You can take the IP of the Vita - 192.168.X.X go in the router and enable DMZ mode on the VITA IP, which should bring it up to NAT 2 or even 1

If you have DSL, call ISP and get PPPoE (username and password), once you do you enter it in your Vita, so this way when you go online your Vita has a public WAN IP.

I use dsl. I don't know how to do port fowarding and all that.

I haven't had any issues Gold-medaling the challenges in Gravity Rush, as far as I can remember.
At most, I had to try three times but that was rare.

I finished Golden Abyss yesterday, I liked the game but not as much as UC2 and 3. I loved the gyro aiming and hated the boss fights, wth were they thinking.

Merry Christmas Vitabros!

Do the FF games ever go on sale? I have VII and I'd like VI and the others but can wait. How is VI, anyway? Load times?

IIRC, they've been on sale a couple of times. The Spring Fever sale this past March is the most recent one I can remember.

The content manager keeps saying it can't connect to the pc even though I have the manager assistant downloaded. Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe try out another USB slot ? Does the connecting over Wifi work ?

Are you connected to the internet when you try to operate? Content Manager must detect an internet connection in order to work

I impulse bought the game and realized its probably going to be free on plus at some point. No regrets though, the game is fun and addicting.

Meruru + ?

I hope Sony will manage to have such a steady supply of games for rest of year in Japan which should be good start to rebuilding Vita there.

Finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

At first I didn't like it all with the forced touch controls and not being used to the aiming yet.

Now at the end I think it's a little bit below Uncharted 2 and better than Uncharted 3. The enemies for one were actually like the Uncharted 2 type and died quickly instead of the bullet spongy slippery types in 1 and 3.

I also liked Marisa Chase more than Elena. Too bad we never see her again so she probably just ended up as one of Drake's women he just ends up running away from.

Anyways, certainly felt like a full Uncharted game to me and it felt extra great since i got it free from PS+.
