I felt like he stifled on his argument for Lee as best character though. Felt like Jeff jumped out with "VAS IS NUMBER 1" and everyone just went along with it.

I was silently nodding with Brad and Jeff on that one (having played it though) so I guess they are mine.
 
You guys think they aren't parodying Press Reset, but if you were paying any attention to what they're implying, you'd know that this is just a clever disguise for that. They'll release the real GOTY videos in a couple of months at most. It's frankly dissapointing to me that you guys have to take everything so literally.
 
Man, the Leviathan DLC isn't what I'd call good (I don't want an explanation for the Reapers, it takes all of the mystery and bad assery away from them), but that IS total bullshit it was left out of the game.

Wow. Patrick and Jeff were on the mark there.

The problem with Jeff's "penny rant" was that he apparently didn't understand how rounding works: If stores were to round up or down to 5 cents at the till he wouldn't lose anything on average. That's how many European countries deal with a lack of 0,01 denominations.
 
Super Mario 3D Land is tied with Sonic Generations for my 2012's 2011 GOTY, so I'm happy it won.

Pushmo's close, but Crashmo is so much better so the shine is kinda off that one.
 
I really respect that Brad mentioned that The Walking Dead is pretty much busted for a lot of people in his Top 10 video.
 
Just started watching the Day 1 recap video. Holy shit it's 45 minutes long?! Now I know why Vinny and Drew have to put in late hours.

How is the lack of 5 cents relevant when it's about 40 cents? Or are you breaking the news that the US's smallest monetary value unit is a dollar?

I was thinking of his strange Penny rant on the podcast, I thought that was at PAX - didn't remember the 40 Cent bit and therefore equated the two ;)

Interesting to see that they have the creator of dust: an elysian tale making a Top 10 list next.

Always interested to see GB's developer relationships grow, especially the smaller ones.
 
Dust: AET is easily in my top five games this year, was great to see it pop up on Brad's list. Was a little surprised by his top choice, but hey, more power to him. I did enjoy a lot of ME 3.

Always love Giant Bomb's end of the year stuff
even if they did overlook Max Payne 3's soundtrack =[

Ok thanks for the quick replies, can't do imgur album because of bandwidth on imgur is to limited for .gifs
Also min.us interface is so stupid and annoying (at least I think so :P).

Also biggest concern would be that a lot would be overlooked by the end of the week in that album.

If we're getting really hypothetical, I'd put it at like, 15th? I played it for 60 hours and loved every minute (and still feel good about the score I gave it), but the game didn't resonate in my memory at list-making time as strongly as other games did.

The games I'm saddest didn't make the cut are FTL, Fez, Spelunky, and Rock Band Blitz.

Crazy penny people asume that all retailers will just round everything up in their favor and never down.

Yeah, giant bomb is the reason I bought Spelunky. I've been enjoying my time with it...but I can also see why it wasn't picked. I think something happened with this game, where they loved it for a while..but at some point the frustrating punishing nature of the game seemed to cause all of the bomb crew to lose interest in it around the same time I think. I got that sense from one of the bombcasts.
 
So I did go ahead and watch the first GOTY video.

Wow. It is FUCKED UP that they locked that stuff away behind DLC.
