Eh, my appreciation for it has grown over time, but nothing like the first.
However, anyone who isn't playing Mass Effect 3 MP is hurting themselves. Even got my wife hooked.

Max Payne 3 wasn't bad or amazing. I just wish it was more inline with the other games.
I need to get into Mass Effec though. Played ME2 but really want to play through the whole series. Just finished up Walking Dead episode 4.

I've made a huge mistake.
So this year I introduced my dad and a few of my aunts to the world of the internet by getting them some ipads. Through that they've discovered youtube and the many Jamaican movies there are online that they couldn't access before.
Just spent the last few hours watching Jamaican movies on youtube through my cousin's wii. I don't think I'll ever get to watch NBA basketball on Christmas again now.

It has elements of greatness though. It has the overabundance of little unnecessary cutscenes, but also some of the best shooting ever; the previous games' combat (or any other TPS like them) just can't replicate these shootouts. I recommend it to anyone looking for a shooter with John Woo-like gun battles.

Lots and lots of alcohol. Idek where to begin with this story ugh. This is EVERY other weekend shit like this happens. It's not gonna stop until something seriously bad happens like Death.
Edit: it's Christmas everyone's drinking Havin a good time talking laughing dancing. Eventually after lots and lots of drinks shit starts to hit the fan. Our friend ( ill call him H.) was drunk and kept messin with my aunt so my cousin is telling him "yo chill stop messin wit ma aunt she said stop." H says "nigga fuck out ma face I'm not botherin her I'm playin wit her." It escalates to the point where H runs and gets a knife and my aunt snatches it from him. I take my aunt out of the room while H and my cousin are arguing and I see a big crowd of people breaking up a fight.
When the crowd settled my cousin has a knife in his back. When my girl cousin sees this she gets mad and goes after H. H's Sister steps in front of H before my cousin gets to him and they just start goin ham. I pick my cousin up and someone grabs H's sister and we break that up. One of H's friends starts snappin screaming "every time we together you always fuck everything up by actin stupid! Fuck you nigga! I don't fuck wit you no more!" Him and H start goin at it H's friend swings and hits the window. Some one called 911 when my cousin got stabbed and the cops and everybody pulled up while all this was going on.
H (who had head surgery during the summer from falling down 20 steps) fell to the ground crying saying he hit his head. The cops take him his friend and my cousin.
There is a lot more I just don't feel like typing everything from my phone right now.

My family had a similar situation last Thanksgiving (nowhere near this bad though) because of unwarranted anger over nothing. The worst part is that it's family/friends doing it to each other. I wish understand why.

is one of the most upsetting scenes ive seen in a minute. will hit a raw nerve with black folks. one of the most necessary scenes in that whole movie tho.
and about nigger being said over 110 times. it is used excessively at points, even for that time period. not any worse than Boondocks tho, and probably the main reason why its even being brought up is cause dudes seeing the movie with a white audience feel awkward about folks busting a gut over "throw it in the nigger cage" nigger this, nigger that, and all the times the word is being used in a humorous manner.
in one month though, nobody will give a shit, theres tons more going on in this movie than folks saying the word nigger.

With my family it's usually outside people that just ruins everything. When you live in that type of neighborhood lettin everybody in off the street isn't the best and they are the ones who start everything.

on another note, I hate being the person that knows stuff that the rest of the family doesn't. example, I unintentionally found out that my cousin has a girlfriend. I got tired of having to pause the game every minute so he could answer a text so I just told him to call the girl cause it'd take way less time. i went upstairs to get some food, came back and well...iPhones are really loud because I heard everything she was saying from the next room over. so now I have to act like I don't know that.
anyway it was nice to have a real Christmas for once. it's my favorite holiday and I haven't had it fully (tree, lights, decorations, music, WRAPPED presents, etc) since I was 14 iirc. kinda sucks that I don't have a family to do it with (divorced parents. they never really had holiday spirit though.) so I had to come stay with my aunt for a week. keeping up w/ a 5 year old is exhausting. it feels like they bought him everything in ToysRUs and then told him that I would play everything with him. spent a lot of the day trying (and failing) to teach him how to play a DS. he doesn't understand video games at all lmao. it's hilarious. My cousins and I came out of the womb with a controller in hand (although I never could pickup the FPS genre).
I guess today's games are far less intuitive?

Thing is, I honestly don't mind, because my family has... situations like Fresh's does. My immediate family is all good, but once you start adding my uncles, and cousins? Damn. Things get rough.
Too many folks with issues - uncles in their fifties who live with their momma and do drugs (that ain't weed) in her house, cousins who have stolen from their parents because they owed someone a lot of money or needed drugs, cousins who were so fucked up off that shit that other cousins had to raise their children or they'd be wards of the state, cousins who tried to rape other cousins. Its some fucked up stuff.

a handful dont. the team on eyeshield had a black character as one of its main stepping stones, and is one of the best characters in the series. some do go with the black muscle worship a bit too damn far though.

my xmas was drama free. we opened our presents at like 4AM, while doing last minute xmas dinner cooking. then all went to sleep.
everyone woke up between 11 and 1 and got ready, packed the food and presents for people who would be at dinner in the cars, etc. made sure some other peeps had the right address. drove there. was supposed to start at 2, we got there at 3:45, you know how it is...
had greetings and small talk while we waited for the last few people to arrive... didn't take long. did that prayer thing, then we all ate. after dinner people opened presents!
then we played Taboo for maybe an hour. that was HILARIOUS! especially when us younger folk try and get the parents into taking a turn as the one! SO MANY funny moments!
then we had some talk/gossip/stories/etc, then cleaned up the place, packed up, said goodbyes and left.

Saw anime chick not too long ago. She was much more reserved/mature. We actually avoided japanese conversation completely until she introduced me to an episode of Soul Eater...which was interesting.
This thing may have potential.
