I don't buy this. Sure the game got some sails from fans, and maybe now after winning GOTY awards it will sell even more with the huge TV show audience, but my vibe from this whole thing was that the people who played this game (critics at least) were tired of The Walking Dead because of season 2 of the show. Everyone was down on it, and a licensed video game after Telltale made Jurassic Park wasn't giving anyone any confidence. What we got was a game where people's mouthed hung open in shock, they screamed at the TV, cried heavy tears, and saw an incredibly well realized singular story about parenting. Even without the franchise that is incredibly special. Something that AP did not do. Perhaps it's my ignorance, but I can't think of a single game that has done that.

Meh, I hate TWD tv series and never read any of the comics. Still I liked TWD way way more than AP, which I just hated every minute of. APs gameplay just felt broken and as a huge annoyance whenever I had to play it, TWD had less actual gameplay but even if it wasn't especially well polished (like shooting and stuff) it at least didn't feel like a constant chore.

Can't believe I forgot! To The Moon was my second favorite game last year, but while it got the me to cry a bunch it didn't bring out the other emotions that Walking Dead brought out. Shock, anger etc.

Whatever, either/or. He better back up this "new found appreciation/understanding" in some way, at least.
I say that not because I'm a massive Souls fan, but because any time Patrick's dipped his toes into something a bit new to him, it's been fascinating to hear him describe his experiences. And this sounds like an ideal opportunity for some more of that.
plus, if he does like it, it might piss off Jeff which seems fun

See, I was all ready to hate this, but the man put Joust - aka the best video game ever fucking made - on his top ten, he can do no wrong in my eyes now (except he put it at number 10 instead of number 1, but I'm just going to assume he misunderstood the ordering of the list, with 10 being the best).
Edit: Also, I just saw he doesn't like ME3, so he might not be funny, but GOD DAMMIT is the man right!

They should probably ask nicely if people could not put games they have work on on the guest top 10 lists next year.

I'm still listening to Day 4 and man, Mass Effect 3 should have gotten Most Disappointing. I fail to see how the DLC makes the game any better when all it basically provides is a long infodump explaining everything. How is that not even more disappointing? And it effectively came 6 months after the release date of the "final" game. They should have made a new category for "Most Disgusting Practice of 2012" instead I guess.

Everyone at Giantbomb liked Mass Effect 3 enough to finish it, which they didn't for Assassin's Creed 5.
And they did have a "Most Disgusting Practice of 2012" award, and Mass Effect 3 won it.

HOLSTERING GUNS IS SO ESSENTIAL
What on earth did they do to their engine between 2 and 3? A dev said it was because of memory issues or something. Probably the same memory issues that called for that stupid loading checkpoint to get to the war room, and the extra door to the cockpit that ruined the look of the bridge. Also, that stupid loading pause to get into the gun range!

Best part of Knights of the Old Republic was poppin' your lightsaber on and off (and twirling it?).
No holstering bothered me more than the ending. Still a great game though.
It hits too close to home.
Remember that awesome sound guns made when you holstered them, cause I sure as hell don't!
