I have the same problem.
More specifically, only videos on the front page play for some reason.
And yet, both games ended up on multiple Giant Bomb personal top tens. That'll show 'em. I bet EA and Capcom are crushed by the slaps on the hand they got.

Using google DNS? Giantbomb player is completely fucked when using that for some reason, the player has just been shit for me for the last many months.
I miss being able to pause and unpause with the spacebar.
That's not the point of the "favorite game" awards. They've explained this already.

Blah I can't listen to these anymore. The minefield of spoilers is hard to navigate. I tried skipping around but then bam. You'd think you could listen to a best character conversation without major plot points popping up for far cry 3 but.... Here were are.

Man I enjoyed reading his post and all the comments on it. ZMF's list has the most comments of ALL the guest lists. You can practically taste the hate from all those butthurt forum users who sent pallets of candy and stupid bullshit to the office and barely get recognition, yet some Twitter user and ex-forum member gets the love every year. It's amazing.
Also his list is pretty good. You can't argue with that Mass Effect rant.

It's a young community, largely. The diehard guys tend to be a bit older, but the mass of the users there are pretty young and I think they tend to treat the staff as surrogate role models/ friends/ father figures

I love how you Neogaf dudes regularly generalize the GB community based on a small number of immature commenters (and what videogame comment section doesn't have those?).
I just read through a few comment pages for ZMF's list and most commenters actually seem to like the list/the guy's humor, some are saying his allcaps-schtick is getting old and only a few guys are upset about ZMF's appearance on the site. It looks like there are actually more posts complaing about the complainers than actual complainers.
Also, the crew-adoring weirdness is a firm part of GB threads on Neogaf as well. That doesn't stop anyone here to act all holier than thou, of course. Interwebs, guys.

I agree with your statements and the truth about the ZMF post is more nuanced than how it was stated by us in this thread, but you must admit stuff like those mailbags are getting into serious sycophant territory. I wonder how the GB-staff feels about those because I couldn't really find any enthusiasm in the last candy-mailbag video (except for the Toblerone lol) so they gave everything away in the staff kitchen. I'm seriously wondering what they do with all that other weird/funny/throwaway stuff they get sent to them. Do they actually keep it or throw it away?

It's hit and miss in my opinion. Some are fun, some are not and some are just plain weird (which is entertaining, too). If the crew didn't want more fan packages, they'd stop doing those videos.
People in general seem to like the videos and if you don't, don't watch them. Sure, there is some amount of attention-seeking involved but what's wrong with that really? I don't really care. And sometimes the attention is well deserved:

I'll just say it: the GB community is fine. It's weird, creative, mostly peaceful and I like reading blogs about brewing beer and other kinds of random stuff on my favorite videogame website.

As Crewnh mentioned, his name is Vincent, but his jacket also has the words "Italian Stallion" on it. (wanting to say it also has the date the endurance run started on it, but can't recall for certain)
It says "Since 2009" on it which was the year the ER started

These GiantBomb GOTY deliberations are becoming my brother and I's Christmas tradition. The movies this year are too funny and I loved listening to almost 10 hours of Jeff and Vinny being hilarious. I wish they would have listed their top 10 games in the day 5 recap video though.
