Hope you don't have any problems with it. Whatever meds my psychiatrist tried to put me on, they all eventually gave me tardive dyskinesia. Eventually I just realized they wouldn't work for me. I've been cold turkey for the last 6 years or so.

Granted I know nothing about you or your issues but using prescriptions as a crutch almost never leads to long term success. All measures should be taken to not become dependent.
But seriously good luck, SSRI's can be good. They just didn't work for me.
Once my fish dies, I won't really feel bad. I don't have attachment to pets at all, really. Product of growing up without them.

I'm just luring you into a false sense of security before I implement my dastardly plan.
If the underlying issue is one of brain physiology there is not a great deal to be done. Mental illness is often a manifestation of a physiological issue in the brain. All the 'deal with the reasons' stuff won't help a jot if the brain is just not making the right chemicals.
Which is the conclusion I came to in my next post. But if it's anything short of that it's best to get some fucking therapy and deal with your demons.

I know, I've had my own fight with it which culminated in the SSRI prescription. Although anxiety has always been my bigger issue.

That happened to me too. I found it easier after I scaled some radio towers and got free guns, and after I knitted some poor animals into holsters and bandoliers.
