I know but I loathe those kind of slasher horror movies. I mean, the whole movie is one giant cliché but it being aware if itself made it pretty good.y u has surprise?
it's been a really solid commercial and critical success
Landed safely! Air travel ain't so bad.
Did anyone clap on your plane when it landed? I always feel like telling everyone on the plane that does that that they're complete idiots. Same goes for people who clap in a movie theater.

lol. When I've gone to Montenegro there would be 2 flights. One to Germany or Austria and then one from there to Podgorica in Montenegro. So the 2nd flight is obviously filled with Albanians and Serbians. The pilot would always get a fucking standing ovation when we landed hahahaha so funny

I clapped on a plane one time ironically because it was a fucking awful flight. It was one of those condescending slow claps.
I bet the pilot cried himself to sleep that night.
DAMN YOU 22F!!
Dave is anti-clapping? I didn't know
I like it when people applaud in a movie theater, it's an attempt to show appreciation as a community!

I don't like you.My favorite experience at a theater was in a tiny little redneck town, and the one theater had two screens. I went to see Serenity opening night. I was all kinds of excited, but figured it would be basically me and some friends, since ya know, redneck town, not a lot of nerds...
The show was sold out. People were singing the "Ballad of Jayne" in line. People dressed up. It was amazing, I thought that only happened in actual cities. The whole theater burst into the Firefly theme before the movie started. It was awesome.
You are misinterpreting the objective. No one expects the appreciation to reach those it is directed toward; the idea is to share it! It's fun!But the community is applauding to no one but themselves. It only has substance when the accolades are received by the person or persons deserving of them.

I concede that it is absolutely not appropriate for all films.

Guys, guys....guys...we had feta spinach chicken sausages with multigrain onion rings and mini s'mores for dinner. It was awesome.
And you didn't save any for me? D:
cheering/yelling at a sports game on TV. .
What kind of gelato?
I hate when people do this but that would probably stem from me not finding televised sports interesting, so people just seem nuts doing it when I come across it. x:
It's even more fun with televised pro wrestling.
Vanilla Bean.
You clap after a movie because you enjoy it, I can't possibly see why there would be any vitriol toward that :|
yum. that would go good with mini s'mores. too bad you live way over there![]()
Oh yeah. OH YEAHVanilla Bean.
It's during the movie applause that I can't get behind. You clap after a movie because you enjoy it, I can't possibly see why there would be any vitriol toward that :|

Clapping is done for the benefit of the artist or performer, whom are not present at a typical movie screening. Unless you're clapping for the projectionist, I don't understand why you would do it. It's obviously a cultural difference.
Welp I catching up with this thread and about to post this. I have never witnessed anybody clapping at the movies. Do you guys clap at home after watching a tv movie? After the 8 o'clock news perhaps?Clapping is done for the benefit of the artist or performer, whom are not present at a typical movie screening. No, it can also be communication within an audience.
Not where I live.
