There are enough great DOA players to put on a show. Why is it so significant for a fighting game to have a 'community'? It's getting a little pretentious.
I tried watching a smash tournament on Twitch some time last year, I don't know much about the game so I thought it would be a good chance to see some high level matches and learn about it. I did not enjoy that.
I've donated for Smash. I don't play the game other than for drunken fun with friends - and even then I've not touched it for 2 years or more, and I don't like watching the game... but I think they deserve a chance. Plus, charity!
