Five-Alarm fire is good for swarms too. Its just combat damage and the enchantment doesnt go away. So if you attack with 5 creatures, thats 5 counters right there. Creatures die or not, thats still 5 damage. Bonus if anything goes through. Used in combo with Aurelias fury face its pretty much over. Along with the Boros charm, this could be some very very quick games.

Five Alarm Fire seems like a decent Shrine of Burning Rage substitute for creature heavy decks, could be pretty good.

The fact that you don't sac it when you pop the counters is a nice bonus.

I have the remnants of a Boros human deck that revolved around making token and Vigilante Justice. It used Shrine of Burning Rage. While this isn't that, it'll do in a pinch.

Simic keyrune is fantastic considering you can put dimir spells on it and it stays, 2/3 makes it out of many removal ranges also.

Serene Rememberance is a beautiful thing, especially in self mill.
You can essentially make your deck exactly how you want it to be.

There's an article on ChannelFireball about Obzedat that made me look at him again, he could be a pretty good finisher in an Esper list. I dream of going end of turn Dimir Charm on my library, dump Think Twice leaving Terminus on top then casting Think Twice to miracle it while Obzedat is still exiled. MUHAHAHAHA

Something like "(X)WB Sorcery Destroy each creature with converted mana cost X or less"?

Would fit with the sweet X spells.

That's quite a bit to wade through. Do you have any particular colors or playstyles you prefer? That could help narrow it down a bit, and people could start making recommendations from there.

Most often when using it for that mode it'll just be a 1 for 1 where you save one of your guys by blanking a removal spell or something. In certain special circumstances you can definitely profit more from it (ie in response to a non-Terminus wrath or a combat step where there would have been a lot of trading) but that situation doesn't always come up.

Golgari Charm already has regenerate on it which is pretty much the same.

The card is probably better in the U/W/r flash decks than whatever human deck comes up, snapcaster the 4 damage or double strike dem pikes

I understand in most cases it's a 1 for 1, but this is better than golgari in that it's all permanents, not just creatures, and indestructible instead of just regenerate, which is slightly better.

No, Champion of the Parish is a "enter the battlefield" trigger. When Gideon activates his +0, he's already on the battlefield.
