Who are the most eloquent, articulate posters on GAF?

My list is dominated by PoliGAF. I'd probably say Empty Vessel, Pigeon, and Black Mamba are some of my favorites. Their posts are usually very articulate and if not educational they certainly lay out their points very well.

Other than that, I've noticed Stumpokapow has some great, articulate, and memorable posts. Lately Edmond Dantes in the Lord of the Rings threads has been pretty great, too.
 
tbh i respect writers who don't muck around with ten dollar words that are equal to older and simpler words. i'm pretty sure there's a quote that emphasizes this.

I would hope no one is stupid enough to troll about something like that on here. Then again you'd have to be even dumber to be telling the truth.
 
My PR department clearly warrants a raise.

I even used literally twice in two sentences earlier and I still made the cut.

I fucked up her life. All because I am weak.

I'm trying to think of some way of acknowledging the OP without reinforcing the cliche of me disagreeing with people who say I'm a good poster. I CAN'T WIN!

Couldn't tell you.

I don't know when or why it happened, but I've recently switched over to the 'twitter standard' when reading message board posts. If you can't be succinct, then don't say it at all. When a long-ass posts starts being quoted repeatedly, it's normally a toss up on whether I'll skim through it or just hope it wasn't really all that important. Maybe my long-term memory retention is just terrible and I'm finally coming to terms with it, skipping things I know I'll soon forget. That, or I just appreciate wit and cleverness more than eloquence and knowledge regurgitation. You couldn't pay me enough to read a wordsmith like Margaret Atwood, for instance (I also have a hard time bothering to read more than the summaries and notes of journal articles).

I have a soft spot for Empty Vessel for being one of the most cogent writers of the particular topics he is most interested in. Not just on GAF, but anywhere.

there's lots of bullshit on science gaf, descriptions of processes that haven't the necessary mathematical backbone to make any kind of practical sense. it's really frustrating.

i dunno i'm not very smart, there's my qq about science gaf. yolo.

*edit* my fav gaf scientists are deafmutes, orayn and techno, the guy who works at cern, and krameriffic. kramer's probably my most favorite because he appreciates the complex hierarchy of mathematical ideas. at least i think it's kramerrific. the guy with the harry potter tumor face avatar thing.

*edit* and goya, how can i forget about goya. and socreges. and a few others not coming to me.

*edit* man i love a lot of ya'll's writing. so many distinct voices on gaf, i cannot contain these feels.
 
Oh right, mods, I really like Mumei, Opiate and Stump's posts. Rational and well defined, even if you don't agree to their position.

Stump and Opiate blow my mind sometimes.

Unsurprisingly, I've found quite a few in Lawyer GAF to be eloquent and articulate. And glancing over the suggestions in this thread, I'd say you guys are setting the bar pretty low.
 
Thanks for the shout out OP. But I think you meant psychology. I don't really explain physics (because I don't understand it all that well, other than at a very general conceptual level).

I'll also take the kudos even though I probably don't really deserve it, just because thats the kind of vain mofo I am :P
 
Every time I read a thread and see that Opiate has posted, I stop and read. Carefully. I always feel like I've learned something from his posts and I hope I end up as wise as him one day.

Honestly, any time I (for whatever reason these days) click on a Nintendo/Wii U thread, I'm pretty much looking for Kaijima to bring sanity to the usual extreme responses.
