In no particular order
Mama Robotnik
Stump
Shocking Alberto
Opiate
Evilore (I particularly enjoyed his European adventure thread)

Edit: most of Poli-Gaf too

I remember in one of the threads JGS...invigorated...Stump posted the most outrageously fair, patient, and thought-out string of words I've ever encountered on the internets. Had a shit ton of respect for the guy ever since.

Bootaaay is really good. Keep an eye out for him.

Not me. I constantly leave out words because I think faster than I can type. I go back and look at my messages and think "WTF was I thinking?"

I prefer posters who stick to the KISS method, rather than rambling on with pseudo intellect to make themselves look "better". Guys like astrolad, speculawyer, stump, dark10(sp?) for his easyish to understand tech talk and so on.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth to give praise of being "articulate" to someone who does it purposely in a condescending manner, lecturing people on subjects using nothing but the most basic of information in order to give third party observers the impression that the person isn't already informed on the subject matter, even though the person never said anything to indicate lack of knowledge, but only simply disagreed with the person who is currently getting praise for being "articulate."
. . . .

I left some full stops for you. Four should just about cover it.

I'm saying that if you have a tendency to be pretentious, you don't deserve people praising you for being articulate.

Fairly certain one can be both pretentious and articulate. One adjective explains the content, the other explains how effectively one delivers the content.

But who am I to push you off your soapbox...while complaining about pretentiousness?

I think most of GAF can be eloquent if the subject matter falls within their real of expertise. It all seems to depend on the subject in the thread.

Dice, without a shadow of doubt. His posts are good for my English. Some of them in particular are a major part of why I got fond of K-Pop.

And Kagari of course, particularly for the FF department.

Lots of eloquent posters around by and large, yet only a very few are actually charismatic in my book. Those two act as role models to me. The fact they are respectively nine and five years older helps.

Stump and Mumei are the poets of our nerd forum generation, but I have to echo Kajima.

Whenever he posts in a particularly controversial topic, his nuanced response takes into consideration all points of views, and the thread might as well be locked at that point because there's nothing more to be said.

Also no one can argue against the gaze of that Sir Arthur avatar.
