Definitely not unplayable, you can read up on all of the 999 backstory in VLR.

No. You'll miss some references, and some big revelations won't mean anything to you, but the game itself is pretty self-contained and explains everything you need to know from 999 with dialog or in the data files you can find during the puzzles. The main issue is that you'll get spoiled on most of 999, but if you don't see yourself playing it in the near future, that point is moot.

You know, I think I'd be ok with that too. If every year of the Vita's life just brought a lot of solid but fun stuff instead of a few huge games and then nothing then that could work out pretty well. It's all about managing your expectations I guess.

I still think we're almost guaranteed to get 1 big Metal Gear game sometime in the next year or two. Hopefully Sony can fork over the $$$ to Rockstar for a GTA game like they did with AC and COD last year.
 
It occurs to me that I would be totally fine with Sony repeating their early PSP strategy with Vita - bringing PS2 franchises to PSP while their creators do new IPs on PS3 (think SOCOM, Ratchet, Jak etc.). If Sucker Punch want to go off and do something new on PS4, likewise with Naughty Dog and Evolution, that's cool with me - just get teams working on awesome Vita versions of Infamous, Uncharted and MotorStorm!

Quick update on Persona 4, I'm enjoying it a lot more now.
Kanji's
dungeon and shadow story was the first interesting one so far that actually dealt with a modern social issue that affects a lot of school-age kids today. The real life stuff is still kind of boring but seems to be opening up a bit more as far as options go.

You can do a lot of stuff with it. You use it to lift parts of the screen protector off the screen, then you can try to reapply it slowly and see if it helps.

If you still have bubbles that are NOT caused by dust or hair, you can put a long, slim piece of tape going from the middle of the bubble to the edge of the screen protector, then peel the tape off, starting at the bubble, making the tape lift the screen protector at the same time. This should lead the bubble outside. It's helpful if you fold the end of the tape while doing this so it's easier to peel off.

If the bubbles are caused by dust or hair you can use a second piece of tape to clean it, simply using the sticky side to collect all the dust and hair. The tape seems to attract to the screen protector ( at least when I did this ) so it's helpful to fold the end that you're holding, and bending the tape to a concave shape to make it a bit more stiff.

I had some problems with bubbles with my full-cover Hori screen protector, but with a little time and scotch tape, it's flawless. Even if you look really hard, you'll have a hard time notice it's even there.

Good tips. I was curious because I just did a really poor job on my cell phone.
