Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

I wussed out playing Corpse Party when it first came out. Played through the first chapter and then never got back to it. Thought it was just creepy before, then realized it was actually pretty brutal and horrifying. Now I'm starting it up again.

Recommendation: Hot Shots Golf, game is awesome. Don't know if it'll be on PS+ soon though, since it is a launch game.
 
Just want to say if Gameloft/Ubisoft dropped the price of Dungeon Hunter Alliance portable to $15 or below, I'd buy it. No joke. I'm enjoying the PS3 version for $.99.

And there's no need to control the fairy here, which begs the question why the hell Gameloft added that to the portable version outside of Sony mandating a use for the stupid backtouch?

This is probably why my time is something like 40 minutes for the first two festivals... ugh.

Keep playing, I think they unlock as you play (or complete all events).
 
Man, in Unit 13 when you shoot two dudes near each other with a silence pistol while they're in the middle of a conversation juuuuust before they would've reacted loudly enough to alert anybody makes you feel like king badass every single time.

Unit 13 does "stealth combat" better than Conviction and Absolution, and it's just one of the several ways you can play Unit 13. Then gamers ignored the game and Sony shut down the studio, fuck this earth.

Yep, it's amazing to pull off. Thankfully the game is very generous with its auto aim to compensate for lack of precision. A way better than solution than "mark and kill".

Ghostlight games generally are rather expensive but they quite regularly are on PSN sales when they are reduced by around 1/3 so i'd suggest waiting.

Couldn't handle the shame anymore so I've given in and bought Oddworld Strangers Wrath, if I ever finish Persona 4 golden I'm looking forward to playing it (and 15 dollars is a fantastic price)

I get the impression that people are saying it's barren in comparison to the console versions, which isn't a surprise. It's been mentioned that it doesn't take any more than a couple of minutes to get into a game. :/
 
It's been mentioned numerous times that it seems nobody is playing Sonic Racing Transformed online which is what is keeping me from getting it.

Yeah they could learn a few things from this little title.

VitaGaf has been mentioning Unit 13 a lot these past few days. So I decided to boot it up for the first time since launch. I actually got the "Two For One " trophy yesterday. I used a pistol from about 15 feet away. Very satisfying. The shooting in this game is tight. Some of the best gunplay this side of Uncharted and Max Payne. The stealth is rewarding (give me Ringo or Bama any day) Much like Conviction and Absolution, many of the missions are wide open. Only here you get to dictate how the missions play out. The Unit 13 scoring system is how it's done; Absolution.. Nice title, too bad Zipper went under.

It needs a permanent drop to $15. I actually missed the sale. I thought it was over that Tuesday, turns out the sale was over on Monday :(
 
In the spirit of the ongoing US vs. EU saga, anyone know why Frobisher Says! hasn't been trophy patched stateside? After about half an hour of opening and closing the game in quick succession, hoping to prompt an update, I realized there actually isn't one available here. Makes no sense at all, considering they released the same DLC pack in both regions. I would even consider buying it. :(

It's purely anecdotal. I for example have no problems getting races in in SRT while I simply can't find find a match in PASBR. And that's a cross-play title so in theory it should have more people playing...

whats the differnce between transformed and the previous sonic racer? boats and planes? i cant decide if i want this on vita or comfy couch gaming. basically the same price on amazon

No clue about the patch for US. But ever since the trophy patch, the BG music from Frobisher Says has been really REALLY low in comparison to the sound effects. Anyone else in EU regions experience this? Maybe US patch is delayed cos they’ve fixing issues like this from the EU patch.
 
Just started Persona 2 and I am absolutely loving the art style, voice acting, and music (which is overall much better than P3/P4's). I'm just standing here in the Velvet room listening to Nameless play the piano. I wish the demons and personas in P4 spoke :/

P2 has an amazing atmosphere and probably my favourite Persona story. The voice acting always felt a little weird considering 90% of it wasn't given VO, but you're right, what's there is done pretty well.

Earth Defense Force 2017. I kid you not, I have not touched another game since this came out a week ago. Digital only (in the US) and has been worth every penny so far!

Also, if you haven't already, Jetpack Joyride is some good, simple fun with tons of unlockables and addictive gameplay.

(BTW - First Post on GAF! Long time viewer, first time poster... be gentle)
 
I just finished up Capcom's classic Klonoa. What I would do for the Wiimake to be ported to Vita alongside Klonoa 2, and remakes of the Wonderswan/GBA games. Instead Klonoa will most likely be relegated to iOS games, and crossovers or something. : / Oh, and I bought the Wiimake day 1 so y'all can't blame me for this.

How far do people get in hot shots golf, before it gets too frustrating? Ive been stuck on the silver level for awhile.

Do people use "easy " mode? Because i havent been- and dont want to resort to it At all, but may have to :(
