Isn't the story of DmC Dante getting mad at a tv station or something? CBS should take a stand, a subsidiary shouldn't be seen as supporting that type of anti-network behavior.
I'm perfectly fine with just disregarding this and all his future reviews. I don't care what he does for his job, man's gotta pay the bills somehow I suppose.
If anything shouldn't Brad be commended for letting the readers know his experience with the DMC franchise? He isn't hiding the fact that he never played DMC 3 and therefore gives the readers an insight on his level of knowledge with the series. Readers can then take his opinion with the appropriate weight
Honestly, that's what I thought as well.I'm a bit confused... Devil May Cry has fans?
I thought they all jumped ship and hopped on Bayonetta's ass (literally and figuratively.)
Remember when people only lost their shit when a game got a poor review?
How on earth would you have any clue about the amount of "effort" dev teams are putting into their games? Now you're just being insulting.

In NT's case...well they deserve it.
The score is positive but what really matters in the review are the words. The combat isn't as good as previous games and the style system is broken, and that the game is overall disappointing for a hardcore fan of the series. The boss fights are also bad.
Did you actually read it?
The gameplay only manages to be "great"? Fuck you ninja theory.Game play/Combat: This is the fucking shit right here. Ignore what I have said before if you want "real talk". Overall I felt that the combat of DmC was its strongest point and I know many people did not expect this. I think the artstyle, platforming, soundtrack, visuals and story are OK to good at best but the game play is something that transcends better than good even into great territory. I certainly had the most fun fighting hordes of enemies and crowd controlling them with my tools. While the game play and combat is not up to snuff with previous DMC games, even being just a tier below those games makes the game play of this game very solid. There are quite a few mechanics in the game that promote skillful play like perfect releases, parry, enemy step, on the fly weapon swaps. Please note that the style ranking and mission ranking system is still borked to hell but the best way to extract enjoyment out of the game is to just try to style on enemies the best you can and disregard the SSSs on the side and after missions. You will have fun experimenting with weapon moves and attributes against different enemies.
uhm, why?
I'm really hoping that Dragon Age 3 turns out to be an absolute masterpiece, because I think the Internet would explode.
Silly Vinny, no one liked True Crime.oh vinny

edit: Updated for you, Patrick.
I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took a melee attack to the entire body.I hated that No Mutants Allowed dumb nitpicking over Power Armor design gave a bad name to anyone who criticized Fallout 3's legitimate failings.
uhm, why?
Okay.
Odds on the Bombcast stopping today, guys?
Silly Vinny, no one liked True Crime.
People want the game to fail, so good reviews are seen as detrimental to the "cause." It's the same thing when people want/are convinced that a game is going to be the best thing ever, and it doesn't get 10/10 everywhere.
1 hour DmC discussion please.
With Vinny really liking it. GB explodes.

Except that choosing to just call it DMC instead of DMC5 should change what those expectations are. This is not a game solely for hardcore DMC1-4 fans. This was a change meant to bring new people that did not play those older ones into the fold. This is why Devil May Cry 1, 3, or 4 do not matter. This really can't be made anymore clear here.

Vinny always gets away with it when he likes/dislikes something the internet disagrees with.
Te best part of the whole DmC fiasco is that the most vocal anti-NT crusaders have given the game a much wider and more constant stream of exposure. Now people will hear about all the rage, check out the good scores, maybe play the demo and think "Well that wasn't that bad" or maybe even "pretty fun" and possibly net capcom another sold copy. The proper thing to do was to ignore the game and give it no hype, but the constant hate gave DmC more eyes on it than capcom's marketing team possibly could have.
Irony.

Hey guys, just got out of class and I'm settling in to watch the livestream on my tablet. What's the best way to watch giantbomb live streams on an ipad? Thanks.

hmm....
Ni No Kuni is terrible! Screw all the good reviews, it's an abomination and an affront to JRPG fans everywhere! No one should buy it or else good sales might encourage Namco to bring other atrocious JRPGs to America like Xillia!
Keep America American!
Thanks for noticing!
oh god I totally forgot he gave Other M four stars.Just for you, EmCee~
