I did! Its surprisingly easy to navigate. I'm really excited to get really deep with it.

thats a really good idea. I was actually wondering how I'd incorporate a scholar. I wish I could have puzzles give the adventurers new skills, but it appears you can only assign skills through leveling up.

I have never used RPGMaker, but maybe give an item that gives a skill or something? Not sure whether it is possible to bypass that, otherwise you'd probably have to look into scripting a little bit, of which I am not sure whether that is possible in the free version.

It seems unlikely that it is impossible, but as I said RPGMaker could be restrictive in ways.

I just turned off autocorrect on my tablet. Freeeeeedoooom! Suggestions still pop up but it doesn't do it automatically anymore. Should have done this a long time ago.

Oh, sci-fi! This looks neat. *wishlists*

Three book series (teen all are now lol) and they're a lot of fun. I mean...they have their problems (as all teen books do haha) but yeah, they're just a lot of fun.

ALSO, Lissar, I recommended it a while back but I think you might have missed it, the pages were moving super fast. A Monster Calls, Patrick Ness. One of the best books, teen or otherwise, I've ever read.

The abstract does not really put me off nor makes me interested in the book. But I got a giant backlog of books I want to get through anyway since I picked up books again and decided to basically go through all the sci-fi classics. But of course I should have known that is not really something you finish with.

A Monster Calls looks very interesting and appealing though, so I'll add that one to the backlog. It also reminds me of the Neil Gaiman books I still need to read.

I just finished the first volume of The Sandman. Fucking dope as hell, fiending for the next volume. I still have a gift card to my LCS so I'll be stopping by there today to pick it up.

If someday I have too much money on my hands I am going to grab that sweet-ass boxset even though having never read an entire comic in my life.

I'll look at that one too!

I have the first two volumes of The Absolute Sandman. I need to get the others someday, but money. :< The books are super sexy.

I'd like to extend a hearty welcome for you to Grammer-GAF!
;)

I did this a while back, as my phone seems to mess up the words I want more often than it fixes the words I don't.

I just finished the last Wheel of Time book so last night I started Wildwood, a fantasy book by Colin Meloy of The Decemberists. I hope it's good, I like that guy.

I'd like to extend a hearty welcome for you to Grammer-GAF! ;)

Exactly. It has switched thong and thing ,tits with that or this far too much. I have myself to blame of course for adding thong and tits to my dictionary but I use them often. =(

I've heard the books are pretty good, haven't read them myself. I've been thinking about it though, i'd prefer the opinion of someone i respect first though, like one of y'all realpic-ers

Well I'm not respectable but I do real pic.
I only read the first hunger games book and I really enjoyed it.
People on GAF hate it but I think they just don't get it. It's not fine literature, it's bubblegum writing. And for that it does it really great. The pacing is very well done. The characters while admittedly as shallow as puddles still are fun. But there's so much going on you can just enjoy it. I think people expect another Harry Potter or Game of Thrones. This is more Die Hard or Iron Man. Enjoyable if you can accept that it's going to be what it is and no more.

It's a teen sci-fi with romance ~against the odds omg~, most likely wouldn't be your cup of tea. :p What can I say, I'm a dork. Sometimes I like a little romance in my books.

Seriously one of my favourites. Like, there are some books that are good whether they're in the teen section or not (Book Thief is one of them) and A Monster Calls is definitely one like that.

It's very different than what you probably think it is, though haha.

I'll look at that one too!

It's amazing. Short, poignant, heart breaking. It's just really well done.

I'm reading the last book of Wheel of Time right now. Just started it. The middle of the series was a bit of a chore to get through but I'm glad I stuck to it because it got really fun.

Yeah, I'd imagine I would not enjoy it very much even though I should read something, er, lighter again.

And it is just that the abstract reminded me of it, if I would take it quite literally. I imagine it is quite a bit darker and not like that though. It still intrigues me.

I tried. Man I tried. I think I was in the fourth book and I remember reading about seven sentences describing a guys coat (I remember I counted). And I put it down and never went back. I in no way regret doing so.

I finally have possession of A Memory of Light, but I am scared to start it because its been so long since I read the books...and all my copies except for the last three are destroyed, they've been read so much. I wish there was a quick and dirty 'story so far' or 'important plot point to remember' that contained no spoilers for the last book :(

just wikipedia the book before memory of light and read the plot details.

your wish is my command, my dear:

wheel of time, our story so far it's set on part 14, but you can go back to part 1 or....8 or whatever.

It's not Game of Thrones but it's also definitely not Twilight.
And actually at the end of the series the author makes a few brave moves. Which a lesser author would not have made.

As an aside, I have suffered through a lot of crappy entertainment for my kids. Twilight was by far the pinnacle. It even beat out Teletubbies, and Max and Ruby which is saying something.

Lucky my son is only six (and a boy) so i don't have to deal with twlight. That said, i couldn't stand game of thrones, quit the series on book....three? four? I threw it across the room and said "Screw you George R R Martin."

It couldn't have been book three.

Yeah, what could possibly upset someone there?

*snickers

My dad nowadays is traumatized by cartoons that me and my brother watched as a kid. Spongebob's laugh must have fried something in his skull.

Sadly now the roles are a bit reversed and I sometimes suffer through crappy entertainment.

I only read the first book. I can clearly see it is well written with a great plot and characters, but I feel that maybe it isn't for me. I didn't really have a desire to read the others.

For me song of fire and ice got really interesting in book 3 so much happen and its gets better i read all the remaining books in less than a month i was hooked like it was crack.
It can be a heavy reading because the author really describes a lot of trivial stuff with way too many pages and the exchange of Points of view sometimes go from an exciting character to a dull one doing nothing at all.
