Amount of Pokemon you like / total amount in gen X 100

I was actually suprised at how low the earlier gens were and how high the later ones are when I looked through them all. Because if I'd guessed I'd have put something like your list for the first three gens and gone lower that my actual results with Gens IV and V.

OKay BRB, doing just that
Gen I 77%
Gen II 80%
Gen III 75%
Gen IV 42%
Gen V 41%


and for fun.
Gen VI 80% (;


I'm surprised that Gen IV is higher than V, but at the same time I'm not. Gen IV only had around 40 designs I liked, while Gen V was I believe 63. If it wasn't for the fact that Gen V added 156 it would have beat out IV

It's not that bad for me. I just went through sprite lists to figure out my favourite gen in terms of designs:

Gen I is 31% liked
Gen II is 36%
Gen III is 29%
Gen IV is also 29%
and Gen V is 22%

So yeah it's the lowest on my list but it's actually not that bad. Purely in amount of Pokemon per gen I liked 3 more Gen V designs than I did Gen IV and it's only 2 designs off Gen II.

But it took a while for a lot of them to grow on me and theres only 3 designs I really love... so it's definitely my least favourite gen.

Also I didn't realise how many Gen III designs I liked are actually from Gen II.

Self-remind. I need to do that later.

Gen III has some great Pokemon.

Some of the best Pokemon.

I consider myself to be a pretty positive person. There are very few Pokémon I truly dislike; just ones that I like more than others (I tried to be more critical for the purposes of my list. For example, I don't necessarily dislike the monkey trio, but I didn't count them amongst my "likes" because they don't really stand out).

Yeah, I don't really actively dislike any pokemon (though I do hate a lot of Gen V's colour schemes). It's just most don't really stand out to me... and if they do stand out to me it's basically always positive.

The only designs I actively dislike are the Kami Trio.

Yep, sounds about right. Gen IV and V's terrible legendaries hurt them a lot.
And I always knew Gen II had the best overall designs (though surprisingly, some of the worst starters).
