Yep, only reason I have the cards is the fantastic art.

This art is the most memorable and nostalgia inducing for me out of all of the Pokemon works. Just something about these old drafted and watercolor designs strikes all the right cords for me.

As soon as I saw that Rattata I was overcome with soooo much nostalgia. The Team Rocket set was absolutely amazing, not just because it was part of my childhood but because the art was so great too. I loved the base set but the art is largely pretty ugly looking back at it now (still love Wartortle though).

Also this card:

has made me like Groundon and Kyogres designs.
