Well, don't get me wrong, when I got my Punch Out!! code, 2011 Calendars, I was pretty happy. Then I sold my Wii (losing access Punch Out!!), and 2011 ended. So they've been pretty throwaway 'gifts', considering the amount of money involved. I've soured on the whole idea over the years. Still sitting on 750 coins.

Fair enough. There've been some good rewards recently, though. The DS/3DS game case, the Gold Nunchuk, and the reversible pouches, for example. I actually use a Club Nintendo reversible pouch for my Vita, in fact. Fits perfectly!
I think you misunderstood me. Never mind the fact that Vita has the better western (non-RPG) library IMO, but I was asking him what advantages buying escapeVektor on 3DS over Vita there was.

3DS port, no open world like on consoles. Probably okay for cheap.
Same here. "Console quality gaming" on the go sounds like such a cliche, but I'm in heaven. I actually look forward to my commute because of it =)Seriously, PS Vita is fantastic for my commute in the morning. 30 minutes train ride is perfect for some "console" quality gaming. It makes the morning oh so much easier.
If they did this even with the PS2 classics on offer right now...

It needs more RPGs period. Western or eastern it doesn't really matter, but persona 4's pretty much the only solid RPG on the system right now. I'd like to get some big western ones on there but I know it'll never happen.

it just dawned on me - you can't install games from your retail cart can you? you have to have the cart in to play it? right?

Yes you need the game cart inserted to play.
I had lost momentum with it too (had just gotten PS+ and got incredibly hooked on Gravity Rush) but I picked it up again last night, and minus during work, haven't been able to put it down.

its not so much the 3 seconds.... but more the carrying around games. more sh*t to lose.

well unless you are going on a very long trip (and even then) I really don't see what the big deal of picking just a single game you own physically and bringing that with you in the system and then having a few pick up and play for short burst games digitally if you need to have choices on the go.
When I go out of the house with any handheld I rarely bring more than 2 extra games

Ive said it before that even though I have always ALWAYS gone for a physical copy of a game, having them on my Vita and being able to access 12 games with a press of a button is amazing.

yeah it's an SRPG like tactics (but with lots of crazy added) but it is still an RPG
in general I prefer disgaea over fft, but i still absolutely adore the way jobs are handled in FFT as well as the themes so it's hard for me to call disgaea better than fft lol

I know this is off-topic a little bit for the thread. But on my ps3 earlier i tried opening up the store hoping that by some miracle, they finished early. Not only was i wrong, but i had to restart my PS3 because it wouldn't let me back out. aka window pops up saying "under maintence.... press 'o' to back out" but 'o' wasn't working on that page. New Store bugs? idk, just kinda annoying.

They lowered the price to $26.99 on Tuesday. I doubt it will be on sale anytime soon. Would be nice though.
i actually haven't gotten around to tactics orge much. the bit i played was enjoyable and seemed like an improved version of FFT, but my go to SRPG is the disgaea series and by the time i am done I tend to be spent on srpgs for a while lol
