Chuckl3s, I must know more about your experiences on the Jerry Springer show!
Maybe someday I will make a thread on it but here is a synopsis. Back in 2006, I was contacted by a producer of the Jerry Springer Show. They were looking for "little people"...midgets you can say. Yes I am a midget. They wanted me to dress up on the PPV Uncensored shows.
I was on a total of four shows, each with a different themes. The first one was the Christmas Special, I was painted up as Rudolph and ran around the set and passed out candy to the audience during the commercial breaks. The second show was the New Years Special where I dressed up as Baby New Year and I was "born" out of a strippers bottom on a gurney. The third was the St Pattys day and of course I dressed as a leprechaun. The final show was the Cinco de Mayo Special and I dressed as a Mexican trying to cross the border. The border patrol were strippers.
At the time, the Springer Show was located in Chicago at the NBC building. So they flew me in, filmed and flew me out. Pretty quick process. During that time we were in the same hotel as the "guest" on the show and even ate dinner with them. We had plenty of time to talk. Some of these were very special people. Their stories were real.
One I remember was a husband and wife. The wife had an affair with her husbands dad. She wanted to leave her husband for the dad but didn't have the balls to tell him in person. So what do you think she wanted to do?!?! Tell it on fuckin Springer. While we were there the husband had no idea what was going to happen. The whole time he thought he was just going to go on the show as a "fake" actor who is going to make a quick buck. They didn't fly the dad in until within the hour of the show. After the show I remember the husband flipping the fuck out and destroyed the dressing room and basically left. I don't know what happened after that. Mind you there was no cameras on him during the destroying of the dressing room so I know it wasn't staged. This guy was fuckin' furious.
I wouldn't doubt some of it is made up but I can guarantee the "stories" are real. The producers will egg them on to make it more dramatic. Even taking the time to separate the people and talk to them alone.
