Even in the best case scenario that he had no involvement in the hoax, he still lied multiple times to many media outlets about how they met and their in-person interactions. And then many times afterward during the Heisman ceremony and the lead up to the National Championship when they were still doing sob stories on him and he already knew the whole thing was a sham.
I still have a terribly hard time believing that someone was so dedicated to this hoax that they actually spent 8+ hours on the phone with him EVERY NIGHT. Where are the phone records?
Probably just hooked up a snore machine on the other end, Ferris Bueller style.

Is this guy Tuiasosospo not concerned that some folks who make "investments" in making wagers on CFB games might not appreciate the fact that he supposedly spent over a year involved in an elaborate fraud that could possibly have an impact on Notre Dame's best player?
I mean Te'o was supposedly wasting all this time with this fake girl--losing sleep, spending hour after hour on the phone when he could have been in study hall to stay academically eligible and/or in the strength and conditioning room to better himself as a player--and the impact of the "death" and/or the hoax being revealed could have also impacted what he was doing on the field on Saturdays.
You'd have to figure there is somebody out there who is now blaming some point spread anomaly that cost his organization a lot of money on Tuiasosospo's actions. If I were Tuiasosospo, I'd be terribly worried about becoming tropical fish food at some point in the future.

I think he does have a camp. His dad was on the air earlier and this whole church things almost seems like a front to talk and do business with samoan athletes. Their website has links to sports page, sports videos, and talent videos. Just seems odd.

This new "story" that they are coming up with is started to make sense now. In a way Te'O lying as a heroic thing for him to do. He was only looking out for his teammates and only wanted to win a championship for his school. He's the victim in all of this.
Manti Te'o is telling friends ... he knew the truth about Lennay Kekua in early December ... but continued the lie for 20 days for the sake of his team.
Sources connected to Te'o say ... it's true what ND Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick said Wednesday night, that Manti realized he had been hoaxed on Dec. 6, when he got a phone call from "Lennay" ... months after he thought she was dead.
But sources tell us ... Manti didn't tell his coaches about the hoax until Dec. 26 ... because he thought it would be a huge distraction while the team prepared to face Alabama in the BCS Championship.
During the 20 days, we're told Manti struggled over how to handle the situation ... but eventually felt compelled to come clean to his coaches.

People need to be careful what they do with "Lennay's" face. That is a real person.

Also, I think TMZ needs to learn how to uses ellipses.
I saw people on other forums saying this early on. They said it means Te'o will be one of the greatest leaders in football for the lengths he goes to for the team.

Jack Swarbrick: He wanted to talk to his parents, and he wanted to talk to them in person. He went home for Christmas break. That's Manti. That's the son he is. He wanted to have that conversation with his parents face to face. He wanted to consult with them, wanted to get their advice, and it was on the basis of that conversation, after having concluded it, that he called us.
