What possible E3 2013 Megaton could push you over the edge in hype?

Simply... Shenmue 3.

A game long overdue, and quite befitting to take advantage of next generation technology.



What announcement would give you a similar reaction, or meltdown?
 
The next Xbox features Blu-Ray and full backwards compatibility for all Xbox 360 games and apps. I seriously don't know what I'd do in our living room if the next Xbox simply started over from scratch. It's used every day for Netflix and Amazon Instant. I have a deep collection of digital titles I don't want to part with. On weekends it makes for the best karaoke machine (seriously , the Karaoke app is outstanding) and party machine thanks to Dance Central. Depending on how much of that I'll have to give up, I may just be leaving the 360 in the living room until they shut down service for it.

Edit: Oh, whoops. Game announcements? Derp. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is shown and playable.
 
I dunno, that Dark Souls II reveal during the VGA's was the most generally excited I've been over an announcement in a LONG time. My heart rate went up and I actually got up out of my chair and moved closer to the screen during the trailer.


I guess the next best things could be:

1) Guilty Gear XXX for PS4/Xbox 8. My face would melt.
2) Enders Project Jehuty official reveal; the new Zone of the Enders that's supposed to take place during an ancient civilization.
3) 3rd-person Metroid Prime by Retro

I want Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3D, Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D, Dragon Quest VII 3D, and Dragon Quest X: Online localized for North America.
 
Mirror's Edge 2, Gran Turismo 6, Test Drive Unlimited 3 (with good physics), Batman: Arkham 3,
The Last Guardian
 
Shenmue 3 or Skies of Arcadia 2, A spiritual successor to Okami from Kamiya and Platinum, a Majoras Mask direct sequel, Nier 2, a POP 2008 sequel, Enslaved 2.

Any of those would make me a hyped Panda.

edit - more Kyle Hyde would make me reach orgasmic levels of hope.

Yakuza 5 (especially if there'll be a Steam release)
Yakuza 1+2 HD collection release (especially if there'll be a Steam release)
Capcom & SEGA announcing HD releases of their classic fighting games for PSN and XBL (and Steam)
...yeah that's about it, other than classics, I need yearly dose of bashing people's heads in with Kiryu~
 
Next gen console with psn plus/xblive subscription subsidisation. Xb3 for £149. Ps4 £149. 24 month contracts.

Last Blade 3 using KOFXIII level of sprites

Naughty Dog going back and doing a fantasy-adventure game not bound by real world physics.
 
FF7 remake or pretty much any revival of one of the better JRPG franchises (Grandia or Skies of Arcadia in particular). The latter would not happen because it wouldn't be announced at E3 if it were to happen, and the former ain't happening no matter what.
 
I think the biggest megatons at E3 this year will be new IPs. I'm not someone that hates that a lot of sequels get made but I think there will be at least 1 super ambitious, promising, new IP launching alongside at least one of the next gen systems that will blow us away. Something unexpected and new that'll show us what new tech can really do outside of just graphics.
 
Massive buyout just for the reactions.

One of the big 3 comes out on stage and says

We bought *Insert big name 3rd party*

*Drops mike* and walks off shows ends

Internet explodes
 
PS4 Gaikai streaming having no noticeable input lag/IQ reduction with even a moderately fast internet connection

PS4+BC Dongle, full compatibility with every playstation game ever...bundled for $499. Would buy that in an instant.
 
DOOM 4 will probably be shown at QuakeCon so only Half-Life (2: Episode) 3 could get me hyped. E3 has been pretty lacklustre for me when it comes to new reveals for quite a few years.
 
New IPs, new experiences. I honestly have no interest in playing _____ 4 right now.

That said, I would kill for Alan Wake 2.

Orbis & Durango.
Uncharted 4 / Orbis.
More new IPs.
Whatever the Demon's/Dark guys decided to work on instead of Dark Souls 2.
