What possible E3 2013 Megaton could push you over the edge in hype?

Eternal Darkness 2.

The first was one of my favourite games on the GC and still holds up pretty well today. A sequel that uses the Gamepad would justify my purchase of the WiiU.

WarCraft IV
.

...

Tekken X Street Fighter for PC
Metal Gear Rising for PC
Metal Gear V for PC
SFV for PC
Tekken 7 for PC

...all multiplats for PC basically.

I left out quite a few games on my previous list, here are some others...

Star Wars Battlefront III for 720/PS4
Mass Effect 4 for 720/PS4
Samaritan demo from Epic turned into a game
Metal Gear Solid 5 demo
Battlefield 4 with 64 players on consoles
LA Noire 2 from R*

Any big announcement from Ninty will get me hyped, especially a new Zelda or Metroid, as well as a SSB trailer. However, the one thing that would surely bring me to tears is a remake of majora's mask for the 3DS or, better yet, the WiiU. Unlikely... But a man can dream.

So as neither I nor my friends have/had a Dreamcast, what's so great about Shenmue?
From reading Wikipedia it gathered it's like a Skyrim world adventure game with QTE.

If it was 3d and rift quality or better that would definitely be a megaton!

Its the only thing that I would truly feel Megaton levels of hype over. Everything else is a given or simply a relief, I.E. not including a fucking gimmick like Eyetoy2 because of Kinect lol.

Any of the following, in no particular order:

FF Versus 13 release date
Beyond Good and Evil 2
Skies of Arcadia 2
Star Wars Battlefront 3
Half-Life 3
Metroid Prime 4
Platinum developed Star Fox game
New Chrono game
New Dissidia game
New Zelda game with a radically different theme or setting
Super Smash Bros. 4 official reveal with trailer
The Last Guardian finally dated and confirmed to be not cancelled

I could go and start listing a bunch of things, but I feel like realistically-speaking, there's nothing that any of the major companies will possibly show that would legitimately blow me away. I just don't see it happening with the industry in the state it is right now.

Persona 5
Devil Survivor 3
About any Atlus RPG
New Metroid game
New Fatal Frame
New IP from Monolith
FF IX HD Re-make
New 1080
Anything by Itagaki
Skies of Arcadia 2

Perfect Dark 2
My first Xbox 360 game, bought on launch day. I had a total blast in that game — and still play it today, sometimes. A proper sequel for this would be incredible.

Crackdown 3
I'd love to see Ruffian build a brand new world for Crackdown. Crackdown 2's ending
left a massive open door for Agent vs Agent warfare
, now it's just gotta happen.

Agent
Don't have a PS3 but as this is now almost certainly an Orbis title, I'm excited for it. Mostly just to see a new franchise come out of Rockstar North.

Rainbow Six: Patriots
I've been waiting for a sequel to Vegas. Terrorist Hunt on LVU Campus is probably the fondest memory I've had from this generation.

1 vs 100
This title was so promising when it came out, and Microsoft really hyped it up at the time. It's such a shame that this unique genre has just been abandoned. It needs to come back in some form.

Burnout
I miss Burnout. Need for Speed is getting stale and repetitive — and the online is nowhere near as fun as Paradise. Also, 60fps visuals.

Alan Wake 2
This game's immersion blew my mind first time around. Can't wait to see how Remedy will deliver on new hardware.

MW4
Obviously happening. Just fascinated to see how it'll perform on next-gen hardware — and how on Earth they could possibly top MW3's big city set pieces.
Space?

Also...
Whatever's being worked on at Bungie, Black Tusk, and Respawn.

As sad as it is, I don't think any (realistic) sequels could hype me at the moment.
New IP might do the trick, preferably with high production values - because it's E3.

My general excitement for next gen sequels could be raised if the graphical leap would be bigger than I think it will be.

BioWare to come out on any stage and say:

"We've decided Dragon Age 2 was garbage, and we want to apologise by making DA3 much more like Origins and will have more content than the two combined. Also, we're going to have a multiplayer mode where you get to punch Hawke in the face until he begs for forgiveness."

I'm trying to think of something that would hype me up, but I can't think of anything that'd make me react beyond "Wow, that's cool".

Too many games I like are either sure to get a successor or at least a copy cat, so that will satisfy my game urges, but I'm already expecting them. Then there's games that I want, but that likely won't happen and if they do, they want be as impressive or expansive as I want them, since they'll be pretty niche and not properly funded. The console reveals should be cool, but I already know that I'll get at least a PS4 if it has a blu-ray player built in, since I need one, anyway and PS3 is still 175€ plus.

So, stuff that'd excite me and/or genuinely surprise me:

-God of War for Vita. The two PSP games are good and great, the latter being GoS. There's Ascension for PS3 and the sorry state of Vita's install base AND R@D doesn't want to be a handheld dev, so an announcement would be surprising.

-Metal Gear Ac!!!d for Vita. I'd be more hyped for this than MGS5, I think.

-Another Sega Soccer Slam? I dunno, it was a real fun little game that you could play with people who aren't into gaming but like sports (and that isn't a real Football game, I don't like sports games without burning balls or beating up people).

-Another Blood Bowl or porting the first one to Vita but not the horrible PSP version!).

-Space Marine 2 or a Space Hulk game.

-An action rpg based on either Necromunda or Mordheim as tough and unfair as Demon/Dark Souls and as gritty as the source material, though the former would be cooler.

-Tekken 7 teaser looking ust like the CG trailer from 2005. Lulz.

Edit: For me personally, uh... new IP's for a new gen? I'm pretty much over sequels, and can't think of a studio, especially in the JRPG realm, I get consistently hyped for anymore. But if I were to really go out on a limb, original team from Final Fantasy Tactics getting back together for a new Tactics game set in the time period between FFXII and FFT, possibly covering the civilization crash and/or Ajora.

Half Life 3
iD working on a new Hexen/Heretic.
A kamiya directed berserk game.
A new ip from valve.
An excellent looking doom 4.
A new Dawn of War that features Tau/Necrons.

I'm going to be massively disappointed this e3

edit: Forgot about Dragon Age 3. If dragon age 3 looks impressive I'll be happy.

Nintendo goes third party
Sony Gets Steam
Nintendo launches a proper online system
Microsoft adds gameservers for most online games for gold members
Destiny features some form of cross platform play

Those would all be megatons for me.

All I really want is a good showing from Destiny and another new IP to get excited about.

Megatons:

Final Fantasy VII remake, but ONLY if it retains the audio-visual "soul" of it's original version (so basically a Ocarina of Time 3D remake in terms of quality).

Ogre Battle 2 , sprite based for 3DS.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night 2
, full-fleged sequel in beautiful sprite based, high-quality 2D (100% HANDDRAWN!).

Final Fantasy Tactics 2 for 3DS

A new TRUE Syndicate sequel for Wii U

Games I would not particularily shit myself, but be very happy about nontheless:

Zelda Skyward Sword 2 with motion controls ONLY.

Conduit 3 by High Voltage

Donkey Kong Country Returns 2

New mistwalker jrpg for ps4 or 720 with realtime footage. Akira toriyama charater designs optional.

Pretty much any AAA game from japan showing realtime in game footage that doesnt involve cars.

- Microsoft launching with a brand new IP, or bringing back a former franchise. (I like Microsoft but they are at least two exclusive franchises short of me loving them.)

- Final Fantasy Versus being confirmed for next-gen console(s).

- The Last Guardian having any presence at all.

- EAD Tokyo with a fall 2013 game.

- Retro Studios with a fall 2013 game.

- 3DS Zelda, new not a remake. (I would say Wii U Zelda also but I'm trying to be kinda realistic with this list.)

- One of Sony's first-party studios creating a brand new IP for the PS4's launch window.

- Star Wars 1313 getting confirmed for fall 2013.

- Next-gen version of Call of Duty being a big graphical leap over current games.

Overall, though, I'll be hyped no matter what. Two new consoles will have me losing my mind even if the lineups aren't amazing, but hopefully they are.

In no particular order:

Gran Turismo the 6th
The Last Guardian
Versus XIII
Burnout
Alan Wake sequel
Mirror's Edge sequel
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remakes (highly unlikely but it would make my year)

But I want to rip aliens apart in real time :( I already own the superb remade SH board game twice.
