Could we have Spanish language GAF OT?

my friend told me the other day while seeing a commercial for Jersey shore, that they remind him of his Cuban Family. * He basically then said that Cubans are the Guidos of the Spanish world...

And then it dawned on me... we fucking are lol. Any other Cubans or people who've experienced them agree?

*(because of how loud, prideful, rambunctious, generally drama-oriented and how they speak a broken form of their native language)

ive seen it happen often. specially in florida last few times i have gone back.

i usually tend to ignore people that dont use proper words, they tend to realize that i dont play like that and go ahead and say thing properly.

with the girls that did ask me to help them out....well, i would start by writing down the translation of things on post-it's of different colors (blue and pink) so that they would know the gender as that usually tends to be the harder part.

nunca he llegado a tener que enseñarles conjugaciones, so i cant help you there :(
 
¡Oh, qué divertido! XDD Un hilo en el que se puede hablar en español, muajaja. Imagino que habrá más de un usuario castellanoparlante o hispanohablante, pero el inglés es el que manda así que nos toca relegarnos a un solo topic :(

Yo estudio traducción de idiomas (inglés, francés y japonés) así que si necesitáis cualquier cosa, ya sabéis ;3
 
Este hilo es muy interesante. Me gusta leer y escribir en español, pero no puedo escuchar muy bien todavía. No sé hablarlo bien tampoco, pero estoy aprendiendo. Tomé sólo dos clases de español el semestre pasado, así no sé muchas palabras todavía. Estoy tomando un clase este semestre también. Los verbos no hay un problema, pero a veces me olvido el vocabulario. Necesito estudiar más. Yo sé verbos en el presente, el preterito y el imperfecto ahora. Pienso que vamos a aprender el subjuntivo este año.

Necesito trabajar en mi gramática. Hago mucho errores.

Tienes una mejor utilización de conceptos básicos como la puntuación que muchos hispanoparlantes nativos. No te demerites; al contrario, me parece que tu español es bastante bueno para ser tu segunda o tercera lengua.

Gracias. Mi profesora es de Puerto Rico y sabe cómo enseñar bien. Me gusta la lengua y espero aprenderlo, pero un semestre no es largo bastante.
 
What is the easiest way to memorize verb conjugation? I'm having to take a Spanish class, and over the last few days, studying has just not been helping at all. I can remember 'yo soy' and 'tu eres' my brain doesn't like this for some reason.

There really isn't one, especially once you get into subjunctive and other moods. It really comes down to studying hard and eventually you just get them. Except for irregular verbs but fuck irregular verbs.

I'm just taking an elementary Spanish class for now, so the prof said that we won't touch irregular (for the most part).

Maybe it'll help if I write out sentences with the different verbs.

el es alto, pero ellos son bajos. And the like.

No lo voy a olvidar, es que aqui en EEUU necesito mas tiempo para formular mis palabras porque no es la lengua cotidiana.


Y escucho mucha musica latina y espanola. Me encantan Shakira, Amaral, Juanes y mas.

You just get used to them, the more you use them. I never really memorized verb charts I just double checked (if it was irregular ) whenever I used a new word in a sentence and it just begins to stick especially the more you read and write. Conjugations just come naturally though I still sometimes make mistakes when talking though I ALWAYS realize it .5 seconds later, I think my mouth just goes faster than my brain sometimes.

Thrusting yourself in books, websites, games, music, etc thats in spanish is the best way to learn. Even if you get frustrated you'll just learn by osmosis

Ser is one verb that you are just going to have to adjust to being different in every tense. For the regular verbs, just write down the conjugation charts a few times and it should be easy to memorize them. They start to just stick after a while though. I don't there is a trick you can use to memorize them.

You'll eventually get used to regular verbs. It just clicks after a certain point. But after that you have to learn the subjunctive and commands and familiar commands and negative familiar commands and... ughhhhh...
