It seems to be a trend with BamCo. Their LE copies of games seem to always be more luxurious with color treatments and such.
I called my GameStop and apparently my name isn't on the list of preorders that get a Steelbook. I preordered while the damn thing was still up. This is a trend with my terrible GameStop. I'm probably done with them.
What about those of us who ordered back when preorders first opened up (I think it was back in June)?

my wife doesn't mind, she's a big silent hill and sims fan so i can keep her busy with those. i actually have this preordered 3 times. the wizard edition, gamestop and amazon. also have the artbook with dlc ordered. i think i'll return the gamestop order when i get my steelbook.

↑ be warned, if the associate adds the steelbook premium sku to the receipt, they will more than likely ask for the steelbook back if you do return..

They charged me two days ago. I paid with PayPal's Bill Me Later. I guess that means I'm getting a copy.

Ah, I preordered like 4-5 months ago. Paid with debit card and had a temporary hold placed only card. Nothing will be open for shipping on 1/21 so I don't think namco/digital river will start charging and shipping orders till 1/22.

Actually she doesn't really care. I'm not the type to spend money on stuff unless I know I can afford it so she doesn't really think about it when I buy stuff like this.

This was covered way back when Ninostarter started I'm pretty sure all Paypal orders took it out immediately, CC authorizations just dropped off. At this point no CC purchase's have been charged so no reason to worry.

Hope they didn't over do it to much it sucks because this round of orders probably is some big fans of course if they screw over a few scalpers that would be nice.
Same. I hate scalpers. Although from what I've seen on eBay the scalpers got in on the first round anyway.
I'm still expecting my regular order to get cancelled eventually anyway though since I had to fudge my billing address (I'm overseas). I have a backup but if I end up with any spares they will be going straight to huge Ghibli fans here in NZ!
Which I think is actually better for people rather than worse assuming they didn't have a pre-planned limit: more people pre-order, more get produced, and they even serve a service in giving people a third chance! Versus people who just swoop in on a very limited stock at the expense of people who wanted the WE at least when they placed the order. On that note, can't really resent scalpers who are just people who changed their minds, you go for something, realize you don't really want it, and may as well see what you can get for it.

A charge and a refund sounds like an authorization charge.
I wish mine had been $.99 back when it happened. Hehe.
