I just googled XTV, it was almost as effective as googling "Pokemon X video"

I thought that was obvious, (it being on 360 too)and are also listed for 360.
But neither of those games will look like that, not even with the might power of the Bayonetta slayer.
When will the PS4 specs be leaked?
This is not how computers work
And 1313 looks like Star Wars: Drakes Fortune
What's the difference between EDRAM and ESRAM? (in simple speak)
What's the difference between EDRAM and ESRAM? (in simple speak)
They look current gen, and are listed for PS3,
No, it's not. LucasArts said that was an error and it's not coming to PS3 this year, if at all.in fact 1313 was listed on Sony's site for late this year on PS3.......
I think to developers it's the same as have 8GB of ram with 170 GB/ bandwith.
I thought that was obvious, (it being on 360 too)
But I don't see anything nextgen in watchdogs...character models are pretty poor actually if it is Nextgen
And 1313 looks like Star Wars: Drakes Fortune
And I remember devs saying they work out a seamless method for FMV & gameplay to mix, that don't sound nextgen at all
EDRAM is harder to interface with.
Static ram is much faster than dynamic ram
edit: ^^ That too
Lol. Oh dear. Quit while you're ahead (or behind) Proelite....
Ah I see. So what sort of functions will the 32mb ESRAM realistically perform in games?
Just looks like Smart TV features in a dedicated box, surely it would be something more exciting than that?
A common mistake is thinking that digital games are somehow different from retail. They're the exact same thing. You can't have BC for one but not the other.
If MS are going down the software BC route, it will be another case of games working on a game-by-game basis. As per the Vita and PSP, PSone and Minis games.
They don't. They really really don't.

This week. When will the PS4 specs be leaked?
This week.
To all the people who think 50GB isn't enough... Really? Do we want another silly installation fiasco as with the PS3? Consoles are supposed to be-Insert disk...Play.
Most PC games are only 12GB now, and they look amazing. I think 50GB is enough for next gen.
Sorry I disagree with the first part of your statement
The difference is Arcade\ downloadable games can be 100% "recompiled" to work with Durago , disc based games have to be "patched" to work with existing content on the discs.
Can't believe people took me seriously.
PC is more powerful than these consolesBioshock Infinite is 30-40GB on PC [many visual additions]. Those "most" games you mention are usually console ports without any PC enhancements.
Ah I see. So what sort of functions will the 32mb ESRAM realistically perform in games?
AA, AF, Alpha effects (afaik). Some here are saying that even AO/SSAO can be done through this but I am not sure.
haha yea, and with that post i think its all down hill.
I agree. I think with the general consumer 'next gen' will be the smallest visual leap of all. Now, us here on GAF, we'll go apeshit..I've said it before and I'll say it again; most people won't be able to tell the difference.
Nvidia loves that kind of marketing. Every company buying into the tegra hype has seen what happened.

Orbit : 1.8 tflops
Durango : 1.2 tflops
Wii u: 1 flop
6x isn't enough, it's only 3x PS3 bluray which is not super fast. I hope for mandatory HDD install option for all games
I'd expect Sony to go with 100GB BDXL
Orbit : 1.8 tflops
Durango : 1.2 tflops
Wii u: 1 flop
I've said it before and I'll say it again; most people won't be able to tell the difference.
PC is more powerful than these consoles
Thats my thoughts, and I am taking into account that they are running on a Highend PC so I don't expect that fidelityI agree to some extend, I think it very much looks like it is a modern day assasin's creed, it wouldn't suprise me if it was the same engine.
But those videos are pulling off things that just aren't easy to do on a current gen machine, certainly at that level of fidelity.
Memory only has one function - to store data. It's what you do with that data that counts
All those things are algorithms and algorithms cannot be performed by memory. Fast memory helps facilitate them though
Yes, this would most likely be what they want to do.about the ram bandwidth:
Isn't the whole point of the Esram and the DMEs to free up the main DDR3's bandwidth for gaming / graphics? What takes up most of the memory bandwidth is the Framebuffer and post processing, right?
I've said it before and I'll say it again; I hope most people won't be able to tell the difference.

I don't think you know what you're talking about!
Are you saying the every XBLA game is going to be rewritten and re-released for the Xbox 3? That's not BC, that's porting hundred and hundred of games. Who will do the recompiling/porting? Many of the devs who produced XBLA games no longer exists.
Vita: flop
Ouch, the double entendre makes my stomach hurt
Orbit : 1.8 tflops
Durango : 1.2 tflops + 4x DME
Wii u: flop
