I was getting sick of clicking into this thread & seeing these lame posts but this one made me laugh lol.

You guys are going to get this thread closed.
Yes, lets get back on topic.
Someone other than me should do a post summarizing all that we have learned in this thread, minus that comparisons.
Yeah, sure gamers would pay for that. But if you're okay with playing 3rd party titles and you have to decide on which console you'll be using netflix and other multimedia features, you'd probably decide against the 720.
When are they going to post the specs of the PS4?
Hopefully tomorrow.When are they going to post the specs of the PS4?
I'd hope tomorrow, but realistically next monday.When are they going to post the specs of the PS4?
This thread is Wii-U, and by that I mean trash.
Enough with the comparisons, we get it.

Orbis = Geoff Keighley
Durango = Shane Satterfield
WiiU = HipHop Gamer
Oh they will. Trailers/footage of a 3D Mario, Metroid and Mario Kart U, plus a vague teaser for a late 2014 Zelda*. That plus flowing rivers of Durango/Orbis news means we're in for a real thriller this year.Only way i see ninty being relevant is to bring out all the big guns at e3.
I thought the basic layout was already posted...!?
Hopefully tomorrow.
That thread and this one are going to get crazy when they do. Buckle up!
Durango specs is really impressive with the 8GB of DDR3 ram... Sony will most likely come out with only 4-6GB variant.

There have been so many 'leaks' now that not much is going to shock us when it comes to the new consoles though. Maybe designs? Controllers? Prices?
* I can only dream for all these things.

It does, but we need more info.Does the article posted by Eurogamer on Jan 18th 2013, which spawned over 4,200 replies on Neogaf, not count as a leak?
However, there's a fair amount of "secret sauce" in Orbis and we can disclose details on one of the more interesting additions. Paired up with the eight AMD cores, we find a bespoke GPU-like "Compute" module, designed to ease the burden on certain operations - physics calculations are a good example of traditional CPU work that are often hived off to GPU cores. We're assured that this is bespoke hardware that is not a part of the main graphics pipeline but we remain rather mystified by its standalone inclusion, bearing in mind Compute functions could be run off the main graphics cores and that devs could have the option to utilise that power for additional graphical grunt, if they so chose.
I fear for that. Not for myself so much because I don't usually buy much pre-owned these days, but it's a huge part of gaming for consumers and Sony/MS will be shooting themselves in the foot if they go ahead with such things.I still say the possible anti-used game stuff could be the biggest news of this gen.
So... WiiU is the best.PC: Nvidia Project Shield Handheld
Orbis: PSVita
Durango: 3DS
WiiU: Gameboy Advance
In all likelihood, it will be 4GB GDDR5.

4gb was a stretch, they were originally going for 2gb, but then they heard MS was going for 8gb of ddr3.
My reasoning is just that they said they're going into details about both of them all this week, and after the Durango reveal they said the Orbis reveal is next. It's just a hopeful guess, I have no idea.May I inquire as to reason for this belief? Does the article posted by Eurogamer on Jan 18th 2013, which spawned over 4,200 replies on Neogaf, not count as a leak? After all, we were not privy the information about the special compute module in the PS4 before.

Yeah most likely that amount.

I hope sculli doesn't find this list...
We still don't know what do some of the parts do that are featured in the diagram. Hence, the question about "secret sauce" remains.
Rumoured usable amount for game development:
XB3: At least 5GB DDR3 + 32MB ESRAM
PS4: 3.5GB GDDR5
Fixed.

I think people are overestimating the gap between Orbis and Durango with these comparisons. There really isn't much of a point in going multiplat if 1>>2>>3. Too much for developers.
