I think the One Piece case is unfortunate, but remember that this is the same company that still charges $40 for Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur on NA PSN. Money doesn't seem to be their priority.
Though a part of me does sense that they're laying the groundwork for a One Piece Pirate Warriors+ ala DOA5+ (and a handful of other latecomer ports) in the West. It'll be the same game with an art gallery or something patched in (to both versions, the PS3 one getting the update simultaneously with the Vita release).

Just ordered Madden and Most Wanted from a fellow gaffer for $30. Pretty excited.
I'm glad to see someone willing to be lured in by the game. Let us know if it's a great catch or if it merely flops around.

I really can't wait for Sly. I played it at Pax Prime (Vita version, naturally) and thought it was terrific. I was so bummed when they delayed it. Now add the price drop to it and I couldn't be more excited.

No, that's dumb, this whole thing of them not bringing the Vita version over is dumb because it basically would take no time and budget to bring the game to English Vita audiences.

Anyways, I've had my Vita since day -7 (yes i bought the first ed bundle) and I've loved it everyday since!

That's what I thought was funny, but oh well. Just means it won't be a big difference for us, BUT it will be nice to have an always-updated OP with that month's releases.

My point was that with a simultaneous release, the Vita release would be eaten alive. But stagger them and then the potential for double dippers goes way up.
Would anyone have paid any attention to portable EDF3 if it had been released simultaneously with the HD console version? Otherwise you have a Madden on Wii situation.
Though I guess you may be right. Late, vaguely milking-esque ports from the likes of Atlus, Team Ninja, and Sandlot might be a consequence of their dev's small size rather than shrewd manipulation of the hardcore - Namco has no such resource limitations.

Yup - I posted the news article this morning about it coming on the 5th I think. I'm really excited. I know it won't be as RPG as Legend of the River King GBC, but I love fishing games.

Hey, same here! The lack of Vita owners on the other forum I post on drove me to sign up. This is the only place on the internet that actually cares about the Vita, it seems. I appreciate all the posters in here for pumping out a constant supply of news and feedback.
Opinions I've wanted to post but haven't been able to:
- Mutant Blobs Attack is not for me. The top-down levels stopped me from finishing the game. Girlfriend loved it, though.
- I'm 90 hours into P4G and I don't want it to end. My only complaint is that normal mode is ridiculously easy, and I haven't done any grinding.
- Gravity Rush is one of my favorite games of 2012. Every Vita needs this on it.
- Unit 13 is underappreciated. Fun little shooter, and perfect for the platform.
- Stranger's Wrath is a classic, and the Vita iteration may be my favorite. Can't wait for that patch, though.
- I couldn't go without the Hori screen protector and grip. The Vita murders my hands without the grip, and smudges are never an issue with the screen protector. I fucking love Hori.
I'll stop myself there. I've bought over 30 games for my Vita so far. This would be a monster post if I tried to give impressions of all of them.

Put about an hour into Technika Tune tonight. I've opted to switch to front touch only. I've also given up trying to find a way to play this game any other way besides setting it on the table.
That being said, Lupin by Kara won't leave my head ever. It's as catchy as Blythe for me, and that's saying something.

I have screen protectors (one as a spare) for my Vita and I am about to attempt an application of it. What is the best way to do so? They are hori ones with some matte finish. Ive applied them before on 3DS, with pretty good success (one bit of dust >.< ) but if there are any pro-tips for a flawless application, I'd love to know.
I've heard that spraying a very light mist of water can help, since you use a card to push the air/bubbles out from under the screen, and this technique works well for me when applying decals to windows (once, it's not my job but the technique is great for that situation).
So yeah, tips welcome.

Do it in the bathroom after you've had a hot shower. The moisture in the air stops the dust from and lint from hanging in the air. It's best not to have any exhaust fans as it can stir up particles that you don't want on the screen.
The only other tip is to be patient and follow the instructions; of the latter I'm certain you would have done, anyway

as for the screen protector my simple way of doing it is make my wife do it lol. She managed to get the persona skin mostly on fine, just slightly off center because the skin doesn't actually aline with the end of the vita.
as for gravity rush, it was one of the games I got the vita for.... I need to finish persona 3 and get to it already.

Have they said anything about an European release? One Piece is very popular in some countries.
the vita version of pirate warriors 2 is not coming out of japan, the NA and EU branches of Namco both confirmed they weren't releasing it.
This really, really bums me out.
a) Because I really wanted the game on my Vita
b) This is endemic of the larger problem that Vita support is fucking dire.
Agreed 100%. Considering that the JP Vita version will launch along with PS3 version. Just ask JAW what version of Stanger's Wrath sold more. I've hit Namco Bandai Games on twitter. I don't expect a response unless more people speak out. It's how Project X Zone came to the US ...
