My current internship has afforded me with a decent amount of free time and I've begun watching the Persona 4 ER. Never played a Persona game before and I was bored for the first few of the videos, but now I am fully invested. Popularity leads to intimacy. Only like 140 or some videos left to go. Oh god.

I just decided to watch the first episdoe of the P4 endurance run and had a shocking revelation... Charlie was the name they put in and not part of the english translation... I feel so dumb, everything makes sense now.

Drew has summoned forth The Broodwich!

So, a year late, I played through Saints Row The Third this weekend. And, to my astonishment, I really enjoyed it. The main voice actress, Laura Bailey, is really good. There was a toughness to her, and she could say motherfucker with ease, and sound natural with every ridiculous line delivered. The writing, for the most part, was clever. The musical choices, from "Power" to the ending climax of "I Need a Hero", which, is it supposed to be an allusion to Short Circuit 2's finale, are great; the part early in the game where they sing that song in the car is great. I'm shocked, shocked that this game had such care to it. And, while I don't hold much attachment to some of the stuff they are lampooning in the game, such as wrestling, I can appreciate its care. I cannot believe this game is as fun as it was. I wonder if the sexism of the game would have affected me differently if I played as a male character, but as a female, it all seemed so subversive (I didn't dress my character in the nude or as a tart). As someone who doesn't like random wackiness (think the opposite of Patrick's "What is going on?!" exuberant exclamations) and gets quickly turned off by gross sexism/violence/misogyny, I find it hard to reconcile my pleasure playing through this game. There is something... heartwarming... about it all. I don't get it.

Between playing through this and replaying Bully in the last week, I've had some good open world fun.

Man, she really is in everything.

Ha scoops it only gets crazier

MINDBLOWINGEDNESS. YOU BRAIN WILL A-FUCKED, TRICKY.

I'm watching the DCS video they posted. This thing is madness. It's so ambitious. Hardcore flight sims fascinate me but I can't see myself devoting the time needed to have fun with them.

Is anybody else having trouble getting premium content to play?

Whenever I try it takes about 2 minutes before it even loads then plays for a minute or two before stopping for 10 to 15 seconds.

Their Youtube stuff plays fine for me but obviously the subscriber stuff isn't there.

Have you tried it on the beta site? You might have more luck trying that one?

If they do it will be a glance via the quick look. Covering this type of game really isn't their forte. Plus there are plenty of good sources regarding builds already available.

Well yeah,I wouldn't be looking for strategy from them, a quick look is what I was hoping for.

Holy fuck

I followed the money.

I put it all together.

All those individual moments, they flashed before my eyes and I just realized...

UVB-76 is Drew's control signal. When the sequence changes, or when the command is sent...

He will activate.

Damn it, now I'm re-watching the P4 Endurance Run.

I think Jeff and Vinny would flip out if they saw some of the additions made in P4 Golden. Mostly in a good way. From a game perspective the extra month and a bit they added makes maxing out all the S.Links so much easier. I managed to do it on my first playthru without following a guide, and I didn't always bother having a matching Persona. Doing every dungeon in one day was probably the key.

You have an extra month!?! This changes everything

I'd love to see Jeff and Vinny's reactions to some of the additional scenes, especially
the ski trip, the second bathhouse scene, and the new epilogue
