Nopons would have made an appearance in full HD glory![]()
They're saving them for the E3 trailer, so that everyone can go 'oh shit, Nopons'.

Well Obviously you need a Wiimote + Nunchuck/Classic Controller if you intend to play a Wii game on the Wii U.
Does Xenoblade run a little better on the Wii U? A little less aliasing, menus loading a little faster or something? Or does the Wii U downscale to Wii's power when it's running Wii games?
If there is one thing i hate about Xenoblade, it's how long it takes to go from one menu to another.

Am I missing out if I never played Xenogears or Xenoblade?
I personally never played it but, I did however, hear about it before.
bah.

Does your TV's scaler leave a 1 inch black border on all 4 sides of your screen?never noticed this so I can't really tell. Last I checked the Wii Mode still does keep it's resolution settings from the Wii U side, so if you have your Wii U set at SD 480p that is what you get, I am playing on a 50" 720P panasonic plasma so I have noticed the game looks different from when I play it off my Wii plugged into the same TV
Wii U has a better scaler than my TV
I have not noticed any other benefits you cannot change slow ass code with better hardware I would guess. Check the Bayonetta PS3 framerate complaints on the latest PSN thread
you know how we complained certain landmarks in xenoblade (the super high places on bionis' leg) being unreachable? the spot where you pick up the mech is actually on that weird looking floating rock structure.
amazing!

Regarding Xenoblade's plot, here's an article dissecting the metanarrative:
http://www.pioneerproject.net/games/xenoblade-chronicles.php
It's kind of padded, I feel, but it does contain a few valuable insights that I didn't manage to catch. Worth a read.
Oh and it's pretty damn spoiler-y, so stay away if you haven't finished the game yet.

play it on dolphin, best game i've played this generation.
+1. I played it on Dolphin and it looked fabulous. Plus, there's a high res texture pack for the game to make it even better looking.

Only skimmed it, but with some facts missing it looks like they guys own interpretation and nothing more.
For example, it saysIf they read through the guide and secret files they could probably fact check it to be a little more accurate."we learn through this discourse in space what Zanza never wanted us to learn. That he himself was human once", when in fact, neither he nor Maynus have any memories prior to their birth as gods.
It may look like it is Xenoblade Monster Hunter Game.
I agree that it does look like it but I can firmly disagree with that claim because Xenoblade have done that before.
Perhaps I can elaborate more.
"X" game will have the story rather than going out of the town to hunt monsters in the whole world.
Monster Hunter doesn't have solid story at all but they earned their own unique kind of the game. It is very good game that you can just hunt monsters with no story.
My point is that "X" game won't be very rewarding if you kill those monsters like MH does. You just kill monsters to get the progress for the story-line like Xenoblade.
I wonder if we will see anything like this in X

Regarding the whole UFO thing - and this is just me walking around in the dark - I was thinking that the "humans" were the aliens who've crash-landed on a a primitive alien planet or something similar given the technological contrast displayed in the trailer.
Doesn't even look that good.
I look clearer than that.
Do you think the characters may be part of some type of unit or squadron who have crash landed from another planet in space? (Takahashi would make this sound a lot cooler, obviously) That would explain the ufo/ship vehicle thing looming over the town in that art.
It's not really that soon, it just feels like it because Xenoblade launched so late in the west.I didn't expect to see another X/blade/gears so soon, thought they'd announce something smaller first, but yeah I'm hyped.

At 0:46, when he's attacking mech/monster/thing, someone falls off:

There's 2 people playing in this shot (the MC and 'Tester'), so could this be player 2? If so, what was she doing up there? It'd be cool if you could climb the larger monsters and attack from different angles. It's something I wanted to do a lot in Xenoblade, since there were so many fights against huge enemies where you spent the entire battle staring at their knees because you needed to be close to get your attacks in.
But Xenoblade came out in June 2010 in Japan which means Monolith has had 2,5 years to prepare this new game. Not really. It came out here in August 2011. That was a year and a half ago.
Feels like a bloody long time.
Also, I feel that the first thirty-one seconds of the trailer piece lends to that kind of atmosphere. (Of course, they could've scrapped the whole UFO concept in the end.)
I see. Well, despite not getting all of her facts right, I do maintain that she presents some interesting views on the game' symbolism and whatnot. Oh well.![]()

Oh, I don't doubt her views are interesting, and I personally enjoy thinking about hidden meanings behind a games story, I was just warning you not to take it as fact.
Has it been stated if this is a Xeno game or is it just speculation.
where? You guys need to watch the youtube trailer in 720p fullscreen and his spacebar to pause every few seconds there are so much details... I've found yet 2 more Colony(base) structures wow
