I ordered at 1:04 PM EST on the 17th and just got my order cancelation email. Depressing stuff...
I just tried that, but no dice. Oh well.If I'm not signed into UPS.com and I run my tracking number, I get that same info... *but*, if I'm signed in and run it, I do get a projected delivery date of Monday. I'm pretty sure that it has something to with having set up a UPS My Choice account with them back when I was getting my iPhone (it's free), so something to try if you get bored...
In all seriousness, they should make this book available on PDF and/or publish it on Kindle/iBooks.

The operating theory was that they were doing it by urgency of shipping method, but I think even that was debunked by some cases. It really does seem random.

I am so frustrated over this as well and I hope that mine will be shipped but I doubt it will be now and probably will be canceled since I got that email, I have been charged and the money was taken out.can't believe i'm not getting my preorder because Namco and Digital River can't fucking count.

While you may not get a shipping confirmation, you will definitely have a shipping label if it's shipping/did ship. So that means if you put your order number in as a reference number at UPS's site, then you should be able to see whether your order shipped regardless of whether you got an e-mail.Actually, a few people said this happened to them with Digital River in the past. They would recieve their package and get a shipping notice days later.
I'm hoping that's the case for a lot of us....

I have a confirmation e-mail sent at 1:01PM with my order number, and mine was cancelled. I've written Namco/Digital River essentially saying their handling of this has been unacceptable and if they wish to keep me as a customer for future purchases they'll fix their mistake ($20 off using that broken site is not an acceptable "fix", in my mind).
