Ni No Kuni Collector's Edition for EU/NA [failure level well beyond critical mass]

Yes, I post link that CS give to make reorder. And its work. It's seems after you make order by this link it is still valid.

Someone also apparently posted that CS link they were giving to people that had orders canceled on cheapassgamer and my understanding is that anybody was able to order a copy from that link yesterday and a bunch of new orders went out

Got my shipping confirmation at 3:27 PM, although the UPS tracking still just says "A UPS shipping label has been created". I'm a lot better off than most though it seems so I don't have too much to complain about.

Yeah, it opened around 2-3am. The link's probably a good 10+ pages back, but it doesn't work anymore. No idea if it was leftover from people who's credit cards cancelled or what, but a few people managed to grab it. So lucky I got a spammy email from Amazon at 3am and forgot to turn my max volumed tablet off.

I don't even know how to react to that.

I mean, what

I've been hit with a terrible fever the last few days, so, was not checking the status until just now. Got my shipping confirmation email about an hour ago......ordered on the 17th within a few minutes of it going live and picked el-cheapo shipping.

Holy cow is that upsetting, if those orders get filled. ABSOLUTE mess; they should have made that link cost like a thousand bucks and given legit reorders $900 off coupons to discourage everyone and their brother from cutting in line.

Yuri Lowenthal as Oliver.

I dunno about XSEED, but Atlus very rarely do proper special editions. The only one I can think of is the Persona 4 one from Amazon.

You think the main boy is called Drippy?...

I really like my Demon's Souls and Catherine special editions. They definitely pull out all the stops when the demand is there.

That said, Namco had the best possible limited edition bundle for this game, problem is they fumbled the ball when they were so close to the end zone.

Whoa, I was totally expecting the worst since I ordered on the 17th's restock and folks have been reporting cancellations but I just got an e-mail with shipping confirmation.

In case anyone is curious I ordered as soon as the restock went live (seems my incessant "F5ing" paid off, haha) and used Paypal. One more thing of note is that my Paypal is not a US based account since I do not live in the US, but luckily it wasn't a problem to ship to a friend's address in the US.

Too bad I won't be playing anytime soon, but alas, for now I guess I can relax a bit.

Still, I can't help but feel bad for the folks that got their orders cancelled, specially those of you who ordered before it was sold out.

You'd think that companies that screw up so bad like this wouldn't last, but given it's not the first time they do this, I'm surprised other companies still choose them to handle their customers.

Holy fuck, WHAT

After 3 days of aggressively checking my email, SHIPPING CONFIRMATION.

Fuck yeah!

Just to be clear

This is the same link people were using with their $20 off coupons from their cancellation emails last night?

if i ever see namco in one of these events i will knock their merchandise off. fucking pricks posting "news" on their facebook page without even dealing with the issue at hand.

That is terrible...

So instead of trying to fix the problem for people who had their orders cancelled, they opened orders again for potentially new people to get one.

This is a bad company.

Just preordered this! Was completly off my radar. Then i saw that the My neighbor Totoro Bluray was comming out and.. oh snap i forgot about Ni No Kuni! Now i just have to wait a week :D

I got a notification of 115 dollars vanishing from my account before I got the email confirming it was shipped. Can't wait to play this
After I finish Xenoblade

Outrageous yes, but still 100x better than not getting the thing at all. (Which is what seems to be happening to everyone I know who ordered one.)

As sorry as I am for those people, I'm not just happy I'm getting it... I'm upset I paid more than other people to get it after, or the same time as them. That is all.

just got my shipping confirmation.

I carefully checked the email to make sure i wasn't about to click on something like "click here to cancel this order at the last minute. it's not too late"

this experience has made me a total cynical about Namco/Digital River's competence.

and 10 minutes after, my Barnes and Noble shipping confirmation arrives for the CE Guide.

:D

now if I could just get that steel case...

I really just want to play the game at this point but I don't want to spend 60 on a digital copy, especially if it does end up getting sent to me. Namco should be making it rain with psn coupon codes to all those that received cancellation emails.

Of course, that's totally understandable. Really bizarre that they didn't seem to prioritize either by FIFO or shipping levels over the past day or so. Though it was always a little strange how they said simply "this item will ship after the 22nd." Kind of made 2 day and 1 day shipping seem pointless, when you have no guarantee when they're going to ship the thing.

And just got my shipping notification. This has to be one of the worst handlings of a special edition I've seen. DJ Max Technika Tune might've been a little worse though.
