♫ Hello, my baby
Hello, my honey
Hello, my ragtime gal

Send me a kiss by wire
Baby, my hearts on fire

If you refuse me
Honey, you'll lose me
Then you'll be left alone

Oh baby, telephone
And tell me I'm your own♫

Not that I want to deprive Pokeyman fans of more Pokeymans, but I have to ask, what more can they do right now? Haven't they created a Pokemon in one of the most recent games that's quite literally a God? How do you top that?

It's not about topping the previous legendary.

I mean, Black and White reverted back to mythological beasts. Although there's one Pokemon who is alluded as the nuclear bomb.

Not unexpectedly, Rain is everywhere in the WiFi tournament. Literally. Every team I've played is playing super offensive rain.

If only Gen 5 gave me some sort of ultimate rain counter.

Look at him in all his grassy steel glory. Annoying but effective little pest.

Is Grass/Steel good against rain or something? I don't play competitively so fill me in.

Yep. Few Rain Pokemon can hit it for neutral damage even and because Rain is up, Fire damage is reduced. He's one of the few really hard counters to Kingdra, once rain is up and running. He doesn't mind facing down Ludicolo either. His Power Whip hits almost everything super hard, with the exception being Toxicroak, Thundurus and other Steel Pokemon commonly seen in Rain. He plays well in Sand and Trick Room too, obviously and threatens Tyranitar with Power Whip (be careful of Fire Blast, Low Kick and Superpower though). Often carrying only Power Whip to attack can cause him to run into trouble though, because Grass is resisted by plenty of Pokemon. I prefer a more offensive set and run Gyro Ball quite often. While Grass / Steel isn't amazing offensive coverage, it means I can hit Dragon Pokemon for good damage.

Grass basically makes water only half effective, half resistance to electric and thunder spammers and steel is basically icying on the cake since it resist almost every else.

Oh and ferrothorn loves the rain since it lowers that 4X weakness to fire to 2 lol.

Ohh shit, he's like perfect for countering rain hahahahah.

Do you guys have some stories about a hard time you had catching a certain Pokemon? Right now I can't find an Emolga and I want to have two of them lol it surely hides from me

It's interesting how by looking at this thread you'd say Chespin is everyone's favorite new starter and Froakie the least. Or is it that at first glance everyone liked Froakie more and things changed?

Levels don't matter, he just has a reeeeeaaaallly low catch rate. Just keep at it. Reset if you run out of Pokeballs.

Thanks, got him.
