Recent ST donations are under review. If you want to donate to ST because you think it has a chance to win, pls hold off for now. RT me!

Also I don't think there's any way the money itself isn't legit. I think someone affiliated with a large company that has interests against Smash (Sony, Capcom) put up that large amount and got through the process, only to be discovered today after review.

Maybe there is a mole inside Capcom Japan that told the Cannons that it was Capcom who wired $40k into that Japanese guy bank account. Then he donated 30 to ST (keep a bonus of $10k).

NO SNITCHING!

Fuck that, snitching is awesome.

Well, the last 48 hours of this has been absolute mayhem, and now everyone's going to be doubling down on everything. Tomorrow, the USA becomes a net exporter of salt.

Yeah you're right. Sony and Capcom want to make sure an 11 year old game doesn't take the main stage at EVO or else it could threaten their businesses.

Just when I think it couldn't get any crazier, it threatens to do so. Even though I don't really want Super Turbo to win, I really hope that the donations have been legit so far.

We're through the looking glass.
I see Skullgirls has finally crossed the 30k mark.

You do realize that Warner Bros pays to get their game in the biggest fighting game tournament in the world right? And that Sony just made a Smash clone, right? And that Capcom is recently heavily interested in video game tournaments, right?

And maybe that since the money initially went through, it isn't counterfeit? And that it's against the rules for an aspect of a large company to donate?

Or I guess you don't. It's okay. Thanks for your contribution but pay more attention next time.

I'm aware of all of these things and I fail to see how an 11 year old smash brothers game affects any of them.

And that corporate donations aren't allowed, right?

Keep on with the conspiracy theories though.

My point is, even if the corporations exploited some loophole it certainly wouldn't be for the express reason of preventing Smash Bros. from being at EVO.

But corporations do have an interest in Evo. Capcom just ran with HDR version of ST at their tournaments.

I'm basically spitballing ideas here that would allow real money to be rejected. I understand it's weird, but I don't see any other theories.

You realize you sound like a kid who watches too much TV?
