A Pretty Panda
fuckin' called it, man
I'm going to do it to whatever game is last place
lol. That's possible. There would be no 8th entrant for this EVO if that happens and all those games are permanently banned.4chan to donate and withdraw from every single game confirmed
Everyone will be banned. This is too much like that scene from TDK where the Joker gave the two boats explosives.Well, if anyone withdraws their money after the donations have ended. Mr. Wizard said that game would be blacklisted from EVO FOREVER.
I'm going to do it to whatever game is last place
so you're going to get third strike banned from evo
good plan
Mr. Wizard as a Wario avatar in his Twitter account. Closet Nintendo fan?
Awesome, and is Mike seriously going to cut his hair?!
EightySixed stream down for anyone else?

The donations are being accepted until Feb 1st, 12 am PST, right?
If so here's a coutndown.
Any link to the Mike Ross vs Champ thing?
I think APEX is an indication a good chunk will. The difference between APEX 2012 and 2013 in views is fairly attributable to FGC sticking around I think. And good times were had.I wonder if the rest of the fighting community is going to stick around and watch while Melee is on stage (if it gets the most donations).

Melee breaking $50,000 is insane.
How much does it take to run a tournament the size of Apex? Nowhere near $50,000 right? Could of just turned that into the next EVO.

If there's one thing in the Smash community that there is no shortage of, it's CRTs. People have been lugging them around for years, so EVO isn't going to have to worry about having the proper equipment if they ask for help.So will the community have to bring in CRTs and Gamecubes?
Evo doesn't have sponsors for those, so I wonder.

You could say the same thing about the other two games.

Or they could donate 50K to charity and just go to Evo.
Dueling spirit bombs.
Here we go.
It can't just be that. Lethalfrag does two hours of cooking on Saturday nights and he often has Twitch admins in there watching. As he's explained it, Twitch does allow people to do some percentage of non-gaming content, but exactly what amount seems to be up in the air.He was playing piano and that seems to be against the Twitch.tv TOS.

Oh I have nothing against Smash community I'm glad they donated it for charity. I just find it funny how much resources they had. They should have done this way earlier. For those that don't know Third Strike at one point didn't make EVO. So they gather and showed their unity and the following year Third Strike was back into EVO.
If Smash would have shown this in like 2008, 2009 by 2010 or 2011 they would have already been in the EVO lineup.
Same thing happened to the Guilty Gear community, but they didn't ban together and GG hasn't been in the EVO line up since.
I thought there was bad blood b/w the Smash community and EVO, so that would not be surprising given the lack of commitment in recent years.
It seems this charity thing has been an olive branch of sorts, mending the relationship.
Wizard had problem with Sundance and MLG not the actual smash community. When MLG parted ways from Smash, they could of came to EVO. They just never did... but then certain players from smash community started playing SF4, and MVC3 and that help bridge the two communities. What I was surprise by was why didn't the entire community present Smash to EVO. One side tournament of 200+ would of probably got them a spot the following year.
