EVO 2K13 Player's Choice: Donate money to breast cancer and get your favorite game in

Art so salty right now. Seems like ST donations are frozen. He says they have the most viewers and they really are the Kings of Poverty.

The average list of rules for SSBM is hilarious:

Of course the list of rules for Brawl is longer and even more hilarious:

I particularly like how this rule:

is followed by this rule:

but I'm sure I just don't understand the intricacies of such a complicated game.

The cape thing with Meta Knight makes you invisible and I'm pretty sure you can't be damaged. You can basically do it forever.

I haven't been watching Sp00ky's stream but I'm going to assume he's going to put whatever money in all at once eventually since ST hasn't moved much in a while.

You grab someone with one Ice Climber and keep using the A attack while the other Ice Climber uses their forward-A attack. It keeps you locked into the grab and piles on damage until there's enough for a kill.

Sounds like Carl(?) is BB. I thought Ice Climbers were ass though? Why not allow it so they'd be viable?

Because even without Wobbling it still allows them to use chain grabs. Wobbling, if you're good at it, is a guaranteed kill because each time you get hit by the tilt, it resets the amount of times you have to mash the buttons to break free of the grab. IC's regular chain grabs aren't because you can still mash out of the grab like normal.

Thanks everybody for clarifying. I was just curious and I'm not too familiar with competitive smash. I only catch it when it something like Apex goes on and there are other games there too.

Also Ice Climbers aren't ass at all, they're already pretty good in Melee and top tier in Brawl.

Man, I'd love to stay up because I know drama is on the forecast, but I think I'll just save the read for the early morning commute.

That makes sense, though. The latter has no precedent in getting banned and doesn't break the game in any way. The former makes the game literally unplayable. Why wouldn't it be banned?

Oh and just a last thought, this thread has a pretty high Views:Posts ratio compared to most other FGC-related threads I've seen, and is closer to or larger than other big threads on GAF.

Seems like a lot of folks that don't post are watching this thread, either general GAFers or lurkers or both.

They banned them after their use in a single tournament?

Wobbling was after a series of tournaments, IIRC. Planking was after one or two, because it was abused and it made every single Brawl match that Plank was in take longer than it needed.

EDIT: Poltergust probably knows more than me.

Donation streams for every game going on, but no stream manages to crack the twitch front page (which is determined by viewers + 1 mod selection, I think).

It's been a while since I played Brawl competitively. I even forgot the list of allowed stages lol.
