PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

So I can get a year of eu plus for $40 ( $10 less then a US subscription for a year and $20+ dollars less then their usual price) AND I get better games?!?!? Yeah, I think I'm biting in now. :)

Today I opened up an old broken laptop in my house, and am finally replacing the 60gb HDD to a 320gb HDD. It's still 5200rpm so no speed boost. But its gonna feel good no longer having to juggle game installs, data installs, and finally having all the content I purchased from PSN at once + the PS+ best off.

Feels good man.

Don't know if it was posted but I noticed that I no longer had to add the free Plus game to the cart then check out, it started downloading it right away.

I doubt that you'll see Bayonetta any time soon
I would say later this summer, Demon's Souls too. They wouldn't do it as soon as people have been able to buy them, but I think they'll both happen. The only reason to put Bayonetta on after this long is to offer it on PS+ really. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Folklore hit the store in the next few months, unless there's a trophy requirement for store games.

If I'm on a one month code, and add another month (have one left) does it stack and extend my subscription?

I dont know if i would buy a one year at this point because after the next month code i still have 2 3 month codes...

Sony has promised Germany will always be getting all the same content. Sony has promised Germany will be getting Sleeping Dogs. Sony has reassured people who were unsure. Sony has failed to communicate their "last minute changes". Sony has failed to work out an alternative.

Full ack.

I was surprised when I heard that Sony will release Sleeping Dogs also for free in Germany and of course it turned out to be a lie (the DLC for Sleeping Dogs was never available in Germany).

PS+ in Germany is a joke, skipping every 2nd game. (I already have a Platinum in Sleeping Dogs, so this affects me not too much (but I would have like MK for the Vita...)).

Sleeping Dogs is by far the best game of these three (I got Quantum Conudrum already for free from US PS+ and deleted it after playing it for 15min, I will give F1 a try but don't expect much from it).

I just subscribed to PS+ two days ago and have only downloaded three small-ish games (KOFXIII, NBA Jam and Retro City Rampage) and I'm already down to 15GB available on my 60GB PS3 (including a few other games that I've already had on there). It won't let me download SSFIV:AE since its over 17GB, haha. I thought I could get away with not having to upgrade the HDD but it looks like I'll be doing an upgrade soon. I'm eyeing a WD 1TB HDD.

Not 5 years, 5 x 90 days = 15 months. Not buying 5 years worth of sub if I do buy any at all

But we are saying only spend $40 now. 4 X 90 days= 1 year. And there is BOUND to be another sale in that year. It just seems like your wasting money (you kinda are, especially with the new consoles coming out in less than a year and PS Plus plans unknown for that system) to us is all. I don't see the benefit myself but it's your money I guess.

Godfuckingdamnit. I wonder if the patch addresses this.

Well, when the content was announced, people specifically asked on the EU blog if Sleeping Dogs would come to germany at all given the Mortal Kombat cut. They said yes and since then went silent. I doubt that it was cockblocked by german regulations just before the update so this is really shitty by them not communicating with the subscribers.

I already expect Foosball as replacement.

GAF hyped me up for Sleeping Dogs, now i have to rent it -_- (almost bought it for 11€ in Steam but my PC is getting old).

F1 Race Stars is a pretty damn good game to be fair. All I really heard about it was negative things but I actually prefer it to LBP Karting and the Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed.

Shame the additional tracks are so expensive though, would have probably invested in a few if they were priced decently.

I tried some F1 earlier, feels strange to play a kart racer with no powersliding. Feels stranger to go so slow in a F1 car. Not sure bout this game, lost me really quickly. What is the Royal/toolkit stuff? Do these games come with an instruction manual somewhere?

They are 2€andsomething right now, which I guess is okay.
Oh great! When I checked a few weeks ago I could have sworn they were around £3. Might pick up a few now. Thanks.

Been wondering the exact same thing.

I like how there's no powersliding though, makes the game more challenging and like an F1 game when going around corners. Pretty cool that in the wet it's possible to slide the car around corners though which I like, perfect balance for my liking.

Guess I could play some more. Are there any differences between each driver besides the team bonus?

From the 10 or so races I've done so far I haven't noticed any differences whatsoever.

Also I found the answer to the stars and toolkits option. Pretty pointless feature.

yeah if you select toolkit you will notice spanners etc flying out the back of the car when you boost etc oh and the horn sound changes.

From the hour of F1 Race Stars I played I didn't like it very much either.

It's just... no fun to have to properly brake and such for a corner instead of just powersliding through it. To me, a kart racer should be a 'never-let-go-of-the-gas' type of thing. And then when you get damaged your car goes slower, there's rain which makes you go slower, the safety car makes you go slower. It seems like most of my time on the track is spent going really slowly on 2,000 cc, which should be the regular difficulty and therefor give a nice sense of speed.

So basically, I just find it a little boring really. I might try 3,000 cc a little later and see if that's better.

Have you tried making a custom race and adding some modifications such as boost on all the time etc.? Might make it more fun for you if you haven't.

Is there any reason why the 1GB patch takes as long to download as the actual game itself which is about 7GB? I swear downloading patches is always slow for me.

Downloaded Foosball to my Vita because it was free. Tried the tutorial, hated it. Deleted the game, and then realized I would have a permanent 0% on my Trophies list. Reinstalled it and gave it another shot, this time skipping the tutorial. And wow! It's actually a really fun, intense game. Nothing to write home about, but I'lll definitely be keeping it on my Vita.
