He got her jewels and all that jazz! Getting gifts for female friends on holidays/birthdays is one thing, but if this is the route he wants to go, go full bore!
"I went to Jared" I whispered as she opened the small velvet box of Subway coupons.
Those 'jewels' may as well have come from a vending machine.

Something tells me her boyfriend probably doesn't see him as competition.
Wow, this is sad. When a girl has a guy, step off.

Oh not at all. Shit like this has happened twice with my girlfriend and guys she's worked with. She'd tell them she has a boyfriend, they'd still keep asking her out, keeping buying her gifts. One in particular gave her two movie tickets and said "maybe we can go watch a movie together sometime." Thanks for the free movie, brah.
The friendzone, how does it work?
maybe he is gay and has a good friendship with her?
The friendzone, how does it work?
a guy who acts all tough like he doesn't care about his girlfriend around his friends but acts all whipped in front of his girlfriend.

Simp: Baby girl, i love you. You're my everything.

That's wrongThere's a lot of debate over the correct use of the term "simp".

Anecdotal but my sister calls me bro all the time. We can't really know the nature of their relationship with just this information though. Someone should find the source.I'm now leaning toward that being her brother. I've seldom if ever heard a girl call a guy 'bro.' Unless, she's awkwardly trying to reassert her disinterest in a romantic relationship. I've heard girls say dude, man, and so on... but never bro.
Look, I just really want to believe this is a gift from her brother who gave her and all the female members of his family gifts.

I'm sure men have evolved slightly past 'MUST FUCK EVERYTHING ATTRACTIVE' caveman status.
The everyday usage of the word.
I remember 8 or 9 years ago (to the day) when something like this happened to my gal. I was home, and she was working at a bar while going to grad school. Comes home with a teddy bear, a dozen roses and a box of chocolates.
Had a shit eating grin on her face too.
Anyway, I played along and asked her where she got them, and she said that "John got them for me, he's a regular." So I did what I should have done. I went and grabbed a vase for the roses, which were shitty quality, and put them in the kitchen. I then sat on the couch and, as I sat down, our cat proceeded to attack the teddy bear. She then opened up the chocolates which, to John's credit, were Russell Stover's.
I grabbed a few and chowed down, then asked her if she wanted to get ready for the dinner we had planned. She put on a tight little number, I freshened up, and we had a great time. Even got a hummer that night.
So thanks, John. You gave me a chance to look classy and contributed to my getting laid that night.
How so?These stories reek of insecurity.
